No offense to NFL players, but if fans of your OWN team HATE you, then you probably did quite a bit to warrant that hate.
Colts fans still loved Peyton Manning when he left Indy for Denver, and 49ers fans never stopped loving Joe Montana. But some players left behind some sour memories with their old teams, and other had ugly departures. Because of this, some of these players are still despised by the fan bases of the very teams they played for.
Every NFL team has that one guy that their fans still despise. Whether they are still in the league, or retired for decades, these players have learned that some fans simply don’t forgive and never forget.
So, without further ado, here’s a look at every NFL team’s former player that their OWN fans HATE.

As a Cowboys fan, I loved Tony Romo. Also think the 2016 Dallas Cowboys were SB bound had we put him back in when he was healthy. Romo flipped the script by the time he retired. Cowboys fans universally loved him by that point. As a Die-Hard Seahawks fan, and I still wear my Sherman jersey regularly. He helped put the Seahawks back on the map after a few off-years when Mike Holmgren/Matt Hasslebeck/Shaun Alexander/Walter Jones left or retired. I'm a huge Cowboys fan since 1987 when I was 5 years old cause my Uncle got me pulling for them. The people who don't like him were not true fans. I named my son Dallas if that shows you how big a Cowboys fan I am. Tony Romo is one of my favorite Cowboys of all time! A lot of people say he chokes in the 4th quarter of big games but those people are not real fans because it actually a real fact that during the time he played he was the highest rated QB in the 4th quarter of games and had the most 4th quarter comebacks during his time also BTW. If you don't believe me on that just go look it up. If it wasn't for Rome we would have been a completely trash of a team. We never had a good defense when he played either. We lost a game once against Denver while they had Peyton Manning with the score of 52 to 48 and the fake fans actually blamed Romo for that lose too. If you score 48 points and still loose it's clearly on the defense, or the lack of it actually. So the fact is you are wrong about the Romo comments because us true fans love our Tony Romo! He should be a first ballot Hall of Fame selection in my personal opinion!

Broncos fan here. You could not be more incorrect. The most hated former Bronco will likely always be Eddie Kennison. Kennison signed with the Broncos in 2001. But 8 games into the season hours before a game he was scheduled to play in, he informed then coach Mike Shanahan that he had lost his love for the game and retired. The Broncos proceeded to release him from his contract. One month later, Kennison came out of retirement and signed with the rival Kansas City Chiefs. He would proceed to taunt both Broncos fans and players over the next few years. Very few former players will ever earn the same level of hatred from the Bronco faithful.
