Russell Wilson is a 9 time pro-bowler, went to 2 Super Bowls and won 1 against a legend. He's definitely a HoFamer with that resume. You can look at Wilson's career stats. If you shave off the TOP TOP tier QBs of all time (e.g. Brady, Rodgers, Manning, Marino, Brees etc) and compare his stats to other HoF QBs, I think he's easily in that conversation.

Von Miller has 3 first team all pros, 4 2nd team all-pros, 8 Pro Bowls, a Super Bowl MVP, and is a member of the 2010's all-decade team. I think he's clinched being first-ballot. Saquon still has plenty of time to build his case and he is having an amazing season. I'd expect Russell Wilson to get in. Of course Jadeveon Clowney won't get in. Why mention him? Is anyone saying he will? Cam Heyward seems to be ridiculously underrated

That is a very good take. All of the guys you mention score about the same in the REAL GOAT scoring system and all are legit Hall of Famers, with the possible exception of Stafford who is getting close to those numbers and should achieve them.

Russell Wilson should make the Hall of Fame. I can't tell what the HOF committee will do. After all this is the group that has not let in Ken Anderson who scores as the 15th greatest quarterback since 1947, which is better than Brett Farve, or Jim Marshall whose career is rated as the 5th best by any defensive lineman all time by Pro Football Reference. But I can tell you that he has earned it. As someone who literally wrote the book on Hall of Fame quarterbacks I can back that up. I will share a few things that I learned while researching Russ for the book. For those who think that quarterbacks should be given records, which I am not one, through the first 9 years of a career Wilson had 98 wins while the distant second is Peyton with 92. Through the first 9 years of a career he was second only to Manning in touchdown passes with 267 to 275. I use his numbers after 9 years because that is when I originally wrote the book. At that time Russ was the leading rusher per game when compared to the first 28 Hall of Fame and sure Hall of Fame quarterbacks that I analyzed. When I added Wilson to the original 28 he had 5 top 10 finishes in the 16 categories that I used. A couple of stats that argue against him being a system quarterback are the fact that he was the most sacked of any of the total 35 quarterbacks in my book and in 2017 Russ was responsible for 37 out of 38 offensive touchdowns scored by the Seahawks which is a feat no other quarterback has ever come close to. Since his first 9 years Wilson has not really done much to tarnish his Hall of Fame chances. In his 10th season, 2021, his TD to int ratio was 25/6 and he had a 103.1 rating. In his first season in Denver he had his worst season of his career but was sacked a ridiculous 55 times. Football is a team game which is why quarterbacks should not be given records. In 2023 he played very well with 26 TDs against 8 interceptions with a 98 rating and led the league in 4th quarter comebacks. I developed the REAL GOAT scoring system and after 9 seasons Russ had already scored as a legit Hall of Famer with a score of 422.4, 400 makes you legit. His average season score at that time was 512 which would place him 15th among the original 28 in my study. The difference is longevity which is one of the 16 categories analyzed. His 2021 -23 numbers with the longevity factor increased has not hurt his chances. His score after only 9 seasons is better than 8 Hall of Famers including Aikman, Starr, Bradshaw, Layne, Griese, Stabler Elway and Kelly. Did I mention that all statistics analyzed are era adjusted for fairness through the generations. On Sunday he played a very good game in his first start as a Steeler and will likely continue to add to his Hall of Fame resume but even if he hung them up today he should be a sure Hall of Famer.
