They weren't joking about the song. It's very quiet, which I guess assists in being able to reflect upon and 'remember these days.' And the plain black video also enables the viewer to make their own meaning out of the song.

Talking about festivals, check out Deep Purple at California jam. Ritchie Blackmore was told what do by organisers so he trashed the stage and set fire to it and danced round the flames. 2 guitars got smashed and thrown in crowd and 4x12 cabinets were pushed off stage.
