Agreed.........making expectations for kids that may or may not be peaking at these young ages is, well, not a good idea....however, it may be noteworthy, but to me, it's nothing to get excited about. I realize people want to generate hype for their KZbin channel, but hopefully people can control themselves.....

When looking at Gout Goit 60 metres time please remember that he has had very few opportunities to run indoors as there are very few facilities and very few races indoors in Australia. We are fortunate to have relatively nice weather with no snow and so outdoor running is the norm in Australia
@dhbc1908
@dhbc1908 Күн бұрын
Actually no indoor tracks at all in Australia, Gout's 60 m time would be in low key 'pre season' outdoor 60 metre events when other non standard distances such as 300m, 600, 1000m would be held.

I've never heard of any indoor races in Oz and there is no reason for them because the Australian offseason/winter coincides with the Northern hemisphere' s outdoor season where Australians go to compete.

My prediction is that Usain Bolt's 100m WR will one day be the longest standing WR. Most world finals are 2 or 3 tens away and no-one has ever been within a tenth of his time. That record is stratospheric.

I’m gonna comment more, but just starting your video, I have to express how Gout-Gout looks very weak in his launch of the 100M at the beginning, but ran fast as fuq, showed beautiful mechanics with perfectly straight feet, knee drive, etc.! I’m thinking, he doesn’t even look nearly as STRONG as he will eventually become, and he’s running weak, with the mechanics of someone very strong. I am absolutely terrified to see Gout-Gout when he builds his muscles!!!

@ it is very true some folks are held back from too much muscle, however, he definitely needs more to meet his full potential. This stuff takes time; it doesn’t happen overnight and I’m not saying he is weak for his age, but just generally speaking. I definitely think he will be elite, but time will tell how he advances going forward. He has a wonderful platform, and being this fast with clearly only but so much power, he will become much faster if he packs on some more. Sprinting is a power to the ground sport, and he’s just friggin fast! Honestly, he looks tons like Bolt with his form…muscle will definitely benefit those mechanics.

This kid is the fastest 15-year-old, for sure, but he is NOT "the new fastest teenager in the world," as the video title suggests. His body composition could still change dramatically plus there’s the risk of injury for a kid pushed too much when not fully grown. My kid, an athlete, last year, grew inches at that age and gained 15kg. Finally there’s psychological aspects with pressures, like financial ones, that can really affect a child’s development. I hope they let him be a kid and play other sports too for a few years.

@adu11 For your information I put no particular significance on fast times run by U20 athletes because that is not always a precursor of what will happen in the future. For example, Elaine Thompson-Herah could not even make one final at the annual Jamaica high schoolbl Boys and Girls Championships throughout her entire high school career but still went on to become a 2 x double Olympic sprint gold medalist while Shericka Jackson placed dead last in the 200M at the 2012 WU20 championships yet went on to win back to back gold medals at the last two World Championships. Incidentally, both Elaine and Shericka have also ran the fastest 100 and 200m in history, respectively, only bettered by the late Flo-Jo whose times we allbknow are shrouded in controversy.

Will be 3yrs this April since he ran his 10.04 (-0.1) PB, should be aiming to get it down to the low 9.9s/high 9.8s by the end of '25. Also, if by then he's still in the 19.7s for the 3rd yr in a row, might be time to follow Talitha Diggs out of Gainesville (same for Fahnbulleh who hasn't run sub 20s in over 2.5yrs) & go join her in Gary Evans's Training Group!

As someone from Great Britain, as much as I’d love for him to be a great talent who runs really well at a senior level (he obviously still could be!) from what I can see he simply looks like someone who’s body has matured way earlier than most. I just wonder where he can improve in his races. For someone like Gout, it’s obvious his start’s his weakness and if he improves that he’ll be one of the best in the world for sure, but for Divine his start’s probably better than Gout’s is NOW, let alone than when Gout was 14/15. Iheme’s top-end is good but not Gout-level so I fear over the next few years he might turn in to one of the guys who was labelled as ‘the next Bolt’ but then burns out as he approaches adulthood. Still a great talent and hopefully he keeps improving!

At a point the drugs are masking lack of talent that will only show itself by them not continuously developing. Time will tell. Lets hope these young guys are clean. My bet is that they are not and it will impede their ultimate potential in the long run. Need to hop on steroids later on. 20 years minimum

Well, if you watch all the videos from this channel, you will be hard pressed to find one where he doesn't say "like I've never seen before" And he says it like it's the FIRST time he ever said it. It's the repetitive aspect of it that has me saying "cmon now". Sorry if that got under your skin.
