Finally got the sub 40! Super solid run with pretty average RNG and a clutch ending. This time can definitely be improved a little bit further but I am going to leave it at this for now. I'm going to do a huge BotW grind now, so expect to see some top BotW times in not too long.

I did a glitch called "zuggle" which lets us put unlimited weapons onto Link's hand so in this case I zuggled 4 Royal Halberds together then I fused a Black Boss Bokoblin Horn to my weapon which fuses it to all 4 of the Royal Halberds. Not only that, but the Royal weapons in TotK have a special perk where they do extra damage (I think it was 2x damage) when doing a flurry rush and you can see while fighting Ganondorf we only deal damage to him in a flurry rush. I think this adds up to ~234 damage per hit but I could be wrong about that.

Yep! They do a ton of damage. I think the developers weren't too worried about making rubies OP because in a casual playthrough you're really not supposed to collect very many of them because they are pretty rare.

I agree that it would be fantastic but unfortunately at the moment, something like that looks far from possible. The only thing that sends you past the intro sequence and to the Room of Awakening is activating the 4 minute unskippable cutscene and it's hard to even think of a reasonable idea for a way to get around that.

If you have a physical cartridge of TotK you can factory reset your switch and easily get v1.0.0, but the downside of that is that factory resetting deletes all your game data. The other option is to homebrew your switch.

The save data is not stored on the cartridge. One more thing is that I've heard people say that you can back up cloud saves using Nintendo Switch Online and restore them after the factory reset, but I have never tried this myself so I can't really vouch for it but I would definitely do some research on it.

How do you do that dupe trick at 7:10?

You just select the zonai devices you want to dupe and press Y and B at the same time. Note that if you want to do this with materials, you have to be either in the middle of a shield surf, or have your paraglider out when you enter the inventory. Also this only works on versions 1.0.0 - 1.1.1 of TotK so if you are on 1.2.1 it will not work. If you want to get version 1.0.0, you have 2 options; you can mod your switch, or if you have a physical copy of TotK, then you can factory reset your switch.

We actually throw a wing capsule down to where some constructs are, and if we hit a fan that is down below, it activates the dialogue with the construct where they give you the battery. The purpose of this is to avoid a way longer dialogue that we would normally get after the Fuse shrine if we did not already get the battery by then.

French was the fastest for Breath of the Wild, but Russian is faster in Tears of the Kingdom due to some shorter text. There are a few less dialogue boxes which saves about one second. If you've seen people playing in french in this game, then it's likely that the runner speaks french as it took a few months to find out that Russian was faster, so for a while people just played in their native language.
