Thinking of a place to find peace it may seem remarkable but where one once found turmoil he now finds peace. And that place is beside a busy sidewalk. Let's explain. He delights in trying to make eye contact & then to elicit a smile or a simple greeting. He makes quiet little prayers where it seems fitting. He chats with people willy-nilly, noticing the way they dress, their demeanor, their overall body language. A spell by the sidewalk becomes a series of little adventures. It's wonderful & peaceful. And individuals are so interesting. For instance this evening a rather handsome 'street' person loaded down with a lot of odds & ends as many of them are stopped by my table & began to talk about one thing and another. Didn't understand most of it but did get the word "medicine." At first thought he was talking about a chemical substance but later on he explained that he was speaking of a medicine to heal the world. What a thought! After he went on his way one spent some time mulling that over. And as for peace it's still found at home, in front of a computer screen or in the reading of a good book, in connecting with one's friend Al & by extension with the one & only Sissel Kyrkjebo. ♥

This evening I noticed that Sissel actually gets lovelier as time goes by.
