Toto - Rosanna (From "Falling in Between Live")
Available Now: mercury-studio...
Toto were formed in LA in the late 70s by a group of friends who were all much in demand session musicians. They went on to epitomise the classic American pop/rock sound of the 80s and 90s with hit albums and singles including Hold The Line, Africa, Ill Be Over You and the multi-Grammy winning worldwide hit Rosanna. This concert was recorded at Le Zenith in Paris in March 2007 in front of a wildly enthusiastic sell-out crowd. It captures the band rocking at their hardest and most powerful and giving a new life to all their best loved tracks.
Tracklisting:
1) Intro
2) Falling In Between
3) King Of The World
4) Pamela
5) Bottom Of Your Soul

All I wanna do when I wake up in the morning is see you eyes
Rosanna, Rosanna
I never thought that a girl like you could ever care for me, Rosanna
All I wanna do in the middle of the evening is hold you tight
Rosanna, Rosanna
I didn't know you were looking for more than I could ever be
Chorus:
Not quite a year since she went away, Rosanna yeah
Now she's gone and I have to say
Meet you all the way, meet you all the way, Rosanna yeah
Meet you all the way, meet you all the way, Rosanna yeah
I can see your face still shining through the window on the other side
Rosanna, Rosanna
I didn't know that a girl like you could make me feel so sad, Rosanna
All I wanna take is a night you'll never ever have to compromise
Rosanna, Rosanna
I never thought that losing you could ever hurt so bad

Who goes out and replace original badasses with A-List ringers?? Luke does😂😂😂 I’m mean, Phillihqnes and Skylar and of the highest I’ll in musicians mercenaries.. Both tired with Phill Colins, Clapton, James Taylor.. and many many more.. With Philliganes being Quincy Jones main keyboard player in most all of his productions from the late 70s to 90s/. And, holding down the MD role for Michael Jackson and the Jacksons.. I think he played on every MJ hit except Human Nature.. which is all Toto.. And Skylar discography is as equaled..

Even as bit of a purist, I won't deny Sklar is a fantastic player. I think he was a great fit in the band. Phillinganes is phenomenally talented, but I never thought had as much chemistry with Toto when compared to Paich and Steve Porcaro.

Imo opinion Joe Williams sound way better now. Kimball was defenitly superior to williams in the 80,s, but Williams voice aged way better than Kimbal. This guy signing right there is barely ok. When you listen carefuly he struggle so many note. I woupdnt be surprised he used autotune because this sonf right there sound like shit man.

To all the purists: This is not yesterday's or your high school's TOTO. No matter the line up. People will come, go and slip out of our lives. People will move on when they face misfortune and detours. These guys continue to persevere and maneuver by keeping that old signature flavor with an updated twist. Their goal is to survive. TOTO IS WHO THEY ARE - AND NOT WHO YOU WANT THEM TO BE..

Haha they're EXTREMELY processed. Never heard a more obvious example, and live-autotune/melodyne is EVERYWHERE. For being such prominent, perfectionist studio musicians they surely are utilizing it overly blatantly.

You can clearly hear it on Steve in the beginning. If a small clearly super talented band uses it to beef up harmonies and try to get what was top notch studio sound live, I don’t mind.
