I have been searching for a tutorial like this for so so so long, my mom absolutely adores My Neighbor Totoro and I really wanted to make an amigurumi one as a gift for her, I have finally found this wonderful tutorial, and I just wanna thank you so much for doing this ❤

Ami thank you so much!! I made my mum the pokeball pouch for Christmas last year, and I might make her a lil totoro for this year!! I’ve never made an amigurumi before, but she loves totoro so much I feel like I have to give it a go :)

If you made the pokeball pouch, you can totally make this! It's the same concept of crochet in the round. It's just you might have to do more sewing of the different parts later for the assembly. You got this! 🙌💙

May I know at what rows you sew the arms and ears ?

For the Ears, I sewed them on after the 2nd Round from the top. For the arms, I sewed them on after the 8th Round down from the top. I also like to sew on the arms close to where the top of the white belly lines up too. Hope that helps!

Hi, you can use whatever crochet hook size that you want that works with your yarn. I know that some people might prefer tighter stitches, so sizing down a hook is ok too. It's whatever works for you!

Hi, you can use chunkier yarn, or you can double up your yarn and work it together as if it was one yarn as well. Good luck!
