Speaking of Ange's convictions - I noticed Russel Martin heading down the tunnel so quickly in the first half he missed Spurs' 5th goal, and same at the end of the game. But Ange, after that Bournemouth game, was out in front of the away fans, getting called a fat c___ and abused and he's standing there tapping his chest saying I'm here, I'm not going anywhere, I'm working to fix it. The level of fight in himis unmatched.

I think something that is missed is the restructure of the football operations of the club. The Lange interview highlighted this. The direction the squad is heading and the style of play is what the club wants. Ange fits that perfectly hence the 4 year deal to at least see the transition through. In light of this it's hardly surprising that there is little desire to remove Ange coming from within the club.

Another great video from the four wise men. I think the match against Man Utd on Thursday is big, not just to stay. More so for breaking the cycle Spurs are currently in. That is, serve up an entertaining match i.e. Man City 4 nil. Then the next match plays absolutely rubbish. If Spurs stick to this pattern, then they'll get beaten on Thursday but in the next game we'll smash Liverpool. Hopefully Ange realizes no one expects a result against Liverpool so he will prioritize the cup match and play the strongest eleven available. If he makes changes with one eye on the Liverpool match it could all fall into a heap.

I do think Madders has his best games for us when he plays deeper, for me i do think it has 2 advantages, firstly it makes it far harder for the opposition to pick him up and to defend against, and secondly it it gets him to run ONTO THE BALL and puts him into that attacking mode in that he seems display his best quality's as a goal scorer. You can't be in team "in Ange we trust" and then question how he managers young players.. Ange 100% was helping Spence understand that playing is a privilege not a right.. Spence will be allowed to cook now that he has shown maturity COYS

The two games rest for Udoggie & Porro will be invaluable in January. If Spence added to Europa squad.. Then Udoggie & Porro can sit out FA cup 3rd round v Tamworth & both Europa Cup matches... & possibly FA 4th round. This would be like a month off for both Udoggie & Porro. This sets up Spurs with 4 viable full back options right now.

It is ok to call Ange out on the Timo situation. In his defense, which perhaps is a weak one, he was asked a direct question about Timo. He might have kept it more general if not for that. Again, this is very speculative and in line with me being an Ange apologist.

Having been an observer of Ange for some time now, I don't believe that Ange does anything just on a whim. My sense is that Ange had a specific reason for calling out Werner on his performance but what exactly that reason is, we just don't know. It's very unusual for Ange to comment negatively on a player like that.
