What used to be commonly known as "Crash Bars or Crash Guards" are now for liability reasons known as Engine Bars, Freeway Bars, or Highway Bars. The two most common uses for these bars are
1. Protection from low speed or "no speed" tip overs and
2. Highway Peg Mounting
Most Highway bars are sold in either 1.25 inch or 1.5 inch diamaters. When ordering highway pegs, Make Sure you measure your bar to ensure you are ordering the size clamp that matches your highway bar. Kuryakyn has a highway peg combo to suite any situation!

The did look nice those Lindby bars. I have never seen soft skins on highway bars before, they look great and are a great idea. I like the look a lot more than plastic deflectors I see ppl using.

Thanks for the extra info. I went and checked out the Lindby website. Interesting no bar for the Truimph Rocket 3 which is what I was looking for. Planning on making the Rocket my next bike, although the Boulevard has really caught my eye and is substantially cheaper, meaning new bike faster.

You also need to make mention that they are one of the reasons for the majority of crashes on turns because it actually change the lien radius tremendously they are very dangerous
