Monster Jam Showdown: Off-Road Circuit Racing & New Trucks Unveiled!

I can definitely say that this is going to be my favourite monster jam game, it reminds me of all kinds of games, urban assault with the outdoor racing, its confirmed that the map will somewhat be like path of destruction, and enhanced graphics of steel titans, I can't wait to preorder on steam. I also think the alternate paths will be balanced by not having as much obstacles, so its a choice to get ahead but not get as much boost, or stay behind and get more boost, kind of like mario kart with coins.

Good takeaways friend. I've been a little apprehensive about the shortcuts but I think you're right, there does seem to be some balance in there with the destructibles and boost meter. It's definitely going to be a fun game no matter what! Can't wait!

I say we unlock the variants, that would give the game a lot more purpose to play, but I don't think they will be hard to get.

That's a good question, they haven't really talked about how we go about unlocking variants. I'm going to guess that we unlock them through our profile level and through completing challenges. Can't wait to play the game and find out though!

I know it wouldn't happen, but War Wizard would be awesome to see. I also wonder what world finals track they'll have. Maybe it would be WF 23 and WF19 but if they put in WF 9 I would be astonished

Well, from what I understand the tracks are "based" on real life locations but not duplicates, so who knows how accurate they're going to be.

Fun fact with Legend. This is the first time I think since Monster Jam Battlegrounds that Legend has the yellow beadlocks and original MJ logo in the same game. The yellow beads and zoomies look from 2015 was to be implemented in 2019 but was cut for unknown reasons but you can still see the postcard of it in the Steel Titans art book

The Legend also runs the older Monster Jam logo, kinda wish they gave it zoomies like Steel Titans but I get why they didn't. Really want to see Captain's Curse as I wanna see how they do the chassis with the skinny cab(would be claustrophobic in first person view if it's in the game), but I'm assuming Rottweiler and Black Ops will be 39 and 40.

Interesting... I don't know, I'm still thinking that Rottweiler and Black Ops are going to be variants or DLC picks. I can't imagine them launching without Captain's Curse, and the more I think about it the more sense it makes to have DIGatron in release.

I truly hope so, but it seems unlikely at this point. They've said that the Standard and Big Air editions are it so I guess that's that.

It'll be on the Switch, it just won't have cross play multiplayer on the Switch unfortunately. Which is a bummer, but you can still play with other people who have a Switch, and you can play by yourself on the switch no problem.

I'm so sorry that Milestone made this game. As a player of the Hot Wheels Unleashed games, things will look great at first, before ultimately falling flat. Milestone is an awful company, and I really hope they dont ruin it for you. They will appear to care at first, but you'll discover ultimately that they dont give a crap at all once they have your money. I hope you guys fare better than we did.

Watched your whole video by the way, good video! That Q and A and some of the concerns you have are definitely things to be wary of. I know from experience, take EVERYTHING from Milestone with a grain of salt. Theres a very good chance this releases worse than you expect. You seem to have your eye on some of the potential concerns, definitely keep your eye it.

I appreciate your feedback. I'm definitely independent of milestone and so I feel free to call out some of the shortcomings as I see them. Still, I do have high hopes for the game and I hope they listen to player feedback. That being said, I have heard some of the drama on the HWU server, hopefully it gets resolved and milestone responds appropriately.
