Thank you so much for making this, it's so cool! Its a shame the Spring Awakening fandom doesn't have a lot of content, but I'm glad the animatics there are (like your Bitch Of Living video and this one) are so well done and expressive. This is one of my favorite songs from the soundtrack, and it must have been difficult to animate but it turned out really cool. Also, the way you draw Hanschen and Ernst is so cute!

I love the detail you put in this. I noticed Hanschens jacket and the metal you put on it. I immediately thought of how andy meintus broke his medal during his run in spring awakening

I love Andy Meintus. I have a friend who complains with me about how jealous we are of his beautiful cat and beautiful husband (of course in that order). I definitely made sure Hanschen had that medal, because I heard Andy Meintus felt it was an important part of Hanschen's character.

Obviously I'm not very quick to put out new content, but I do plan to do more spring awakening animatics as I have time. Originally I planned to do all of the songs, but that could take decades at my current rate. Rest assured don't do sadness/blue wind is one of my favorite songs and it's pretty high on the list. Well thank god I found an animatic that understands this isn't a gay song... at least entirely but Ernst and Hansen are okay. But I am glad this animatic does show Moritz and Melchior close friendship very well. 👍

I see Melchi and Moritz as two friends who love each other platonically going through the confusing process of exploring sexuality while the adults around them refuse to provide them with guidance. My interpretation of the story leads me to believe they are both probably bicurious, and consider exploring together (mostly Melchior), but decide not to, perhaps because they value their friendship and don't want to risk hurting it, perhaps because they (Moritz) worry sexuality of any kind is immoral. I feel this song is mostly about a longing for closeness, both emotional and physical. I wanted to show them choosing to find that closeness in the friendship they already had.
