In this video i talk mostly about midi SysEx...how to understand Sysex, and those weird codes at the back of your synth manual. I also show how to enter these codes and send Sysex messages in Touch OSC.

Great Video Man!!!. I have a question. I have an Elka EK44 and would like to transfer the Sysex sounds to the K2700. But unfortunately I noticed that on ELKA compared to the classic FM it has 8 operators per oscillator, for a total of 16 oscillators. I also found some Sysex files of the Elka EK44 with all the ROMs on the Internet. I directly upload the Sysex Elka files to the K2700 but it gives me an error. While the Sysex files of the DX7 loaded without error. How come? Is the System Exlusive difference the cause? There is way to solve this problem?

unfortunatley that probably won't work. if the architecture of the synth is different from the source (in this case EK44) then the synth (in most casses) will not recognize the sysex file. A lot of synths were made to be compatible with DX7 because it was such a popular synth...so in a lot of cases you can load DX7 patches into different synths. but sounds like your EK44 and K2700 are not compatible.
