I don't like to have my bullets too much jammed into the lands to avoid filling my receiver with powder if I need to open the bolt. So my limit value is the length of the cartridge when I seat the bullet by closing the bolt. I always look for the seating depth under this value.

Another excellent video, Bruce! I also try to make sure that when I am lifting the bolt and listening for the click there is some rearward pressure on the bolt handle (pulling it back). I try to avoid seating a bullet too close to the lands, as you may discover that your bullet that was just touching is now jumping.....can lead to some inconsistent results.
