Touching Grass In Terraria's Hardest Skyblock

Skyblocks might just be my favourite way of playing Terraria, and Shimmering Skies is one of the most confusing and challenging ones out there! So join me as I battle my way through not just bosses and events, but the hoops I'll need to jump through and puzzles I'll need to solve just to spawn them in the first place. This challenge is going to take a lot longer than just 100 days!

Perfect run again. Have you been enjoying the not-medium-core? Combined with crazy luck again. Getting that rain and gummy worm before you even start the fishing grind is crazy. The fact that you can get flinx early in this map was a happy accident. In digging through the whole game, ice bricks were the most compact way to get the most platforms I could find. For viewers: Always fish while sitting on a toilet. It boosts fishing power. Yes it makes no sense, but I'm not kidding. The angler does still also spawn on sand at the ocean as well if preferred. Another reason to enjoy Remix is the lack of happiness requirement to get pylons. Just cram them anywhere. When using this blood moon fishing in a box method, I use grenades to get the job done faster, but I have ended myself doing this.

It boosts fishing power." this is true for sitting on water with an Inner Tube or the Flamingo mount from the Zoologist, and they even stack with each other if you use either the Neptune's Shell or its upgrades, or a Flipper Potion and sit on a toilet that's submerged just enough to allow you to sit down and still be considered floating on water

I also used fargo's alternative to the eye summon to actually summon it. It just wouldn't be summoned.

wrt flinx sapwning, cant they also spawn on ores? so you could have bought more axes from the merchant and shimmered it down to copper ore to spawn flinx?

I believe they have two different spawn checks. One checks if the player is in an ice biome, the other checks that the block they’re spawning on is snow or ice. Since I don’t have enough blocks for a full biome I can only use second, but the first spawns them much faster

The next part won’t be public for at least another week, so for now I’d recommend using the demon scythe and a minecart track below the bottom eye, far enough away from the hungry that they can’t hit you while you shoot upwards and hit at least the eye and mouth
