@Symbioteposion In combat, everyone *does* yell "Hey! Healer! Over here!" Doesn't make it serious or break character, it makes sense! :p Healers are the people you definitely want on your side. :D

I found the whole programme slightly wierd, but I like the effort they've gone to to create a tavern and the way they took the gig in good humour. I couldn't personally participate in the wierd fighting but I would gladly sit in a smithy selling the weapons they use or in the tavern being the drunken dwarf in the corner! Nice one Dara!

There are LARP that focuses purely on the combat, but most do a bit of both. If looking for a LARP to join you should investigate if it is mostly combat or roleplay orientated, and same with your group. Many does the hardcore roleplay when at the in character inn, and out and about, but once inside a private tent, will go semi or fully out of character. So you stick your head out, roleplay when in public, go back and chat with your mate in private or out of sight, and fight stuff.

love Dara, probably the best standup comedian around (and a master tactician) LARPing, can kinda see some bits eg fighting, but how intricate it gets is where they lose me, but whatever they want to do kinda thing, their choice.

you should see some of the infrastructures bilt up for a 4 day play... In the larp i participated, some had constructed, i repeat constructed, a baking oven on site out of brick and clay (from off site). it was quite pleasurable to walk over in the morning and be greeted with a still hot piece of honey and rosmary bread. that and the mead...

Skully larper: 1 day events have about 50-60 players 2-3 day events have up to 120 although a lot more showed up that day than normal.

@CharloSAUR actually in Denmark we have something called Zulu Comedy Fight Club where 6 danish comedians had to join LARP and do a comedy bit about it, which was rather hilarious as well. Kudos to Dara for making it out alive with fine jokes!

Actual Comment: This gig actually brought small tears to my eyes. I would class myself as a LARPer although I am now 19 and haven't done it since I was 14. BUT this stuff is fantastic what made it most incredible when I went was that it was some 2000+ people also doing it at the Lorien Trust gathering. Skullduggery LARPers: Looking at this could someone tell me the average player count for Skullduggery please -- it seemed tiny at some points and then big... Thanks in advance if you answer

I know a Flight Sergeant in the RAF Cadets who I introduced to LARP...he loves it. Ya peanut, if you're gonna say stuff like that at least have gone to either LARP or Cadets
