I remember when I was a child playing chess someone once said to me that if you can play really well, even though there are distractions around us, then when it comes to competitions you will be so used to the slightest distraction that you can ignore it and continue playing as if nothing has happened. The same goes for snooker

7:08 - Kyren states that John Higgins is the toughest player he's ever played. 9 months later he (12th seed) meets Higgins (13th seed) in the 2024 World Championships quarter final. Kryen won 13 - 8 and looks like he will win it. As I write this, he is 7 - 1 up to the world number 44 Jak Jones after the first session of the final.

How about we incorporate this in all the matches: just two blokes bantering all the way through the frames. Distraction and all allowed. What a blast it’d be! Great series Stephen and you’re still King on Top. But I think it’ll become a great quest for all your colleagues to beat you at it, then to make a century and ultimately score that first 147 on the ttc. Who’s it gonna be?
