I remember when I was a child playing chess someone once said to me that if you can play really well, even though there are distractions around us, then when it comes to competitions you will be so used to the slightest distraction that you can ignore it and continue playing as if nothing has happened. 7:08 - Kyren states that John Higgins is the toughest player he's ever played. 9 months later he (12th seed) meets Higgins (13th seed) in the 2024 World Championships quarter final. Kryen won 13 - 8 and looks like he will win it. As I write this, he is 7 - 1 up to the world number 44 Jak Jones after the first session of the final.
