I like that you're using the Knipex double bend long nose pliers everyone said were useless. I grabbed them on your recommendation and find them invaluable for residential electrical work as the jaws can grip the solid core parallel to the wire. Great recommendation.

Went full Toughbuilt this year with the rolling tote and everything. Definitely like the products but be careful of the stitching: always look it over and take a lighter to the stray threads!

I have that same bag that I keep in my truck and really like it. The clips with different style holders are nice too, I have a few of those mounted in my work truck for various tools.

Love mine, have both ! The only problem is that when loaded out, it can become a little heavy on your forearm! I brought their rucksack and use that daily, I was a jobbing plumber....

I have been using my toughbuilt tool pouches every weekday since December and they are holding up great. I have the 16" version of this bag and find it a little big for most things so have put all of my everyday use hand tools into a husky 10" bag. May pick up the 12" toughbuilt at some point and use it

Saw the 16 and thought to myself... hmm I always buy too big, thinking it will be great and wish I was carrying less and lighter. I'm gonna get the 12 if I splurge on this. There's a variation with a cover on it too, which is interesting, for I think 5 bucks more. a cover might be nice sometime, or I guess I could stash a pull string bag into one of the pockets to keep the rain off it if the need arises.

take note, Seeing better prices on some of these items at Lowes than at Amazon. But Menards also has some of the products also at good prices. So between those three places I think you can get everything they have but not every place has things at the best price. Lowes has the cheapest clips, but Menards may have the cheapest belts.

I hate Menards for ONE reason. The #@&! rebate program is designed to take advantage of people like me, who never get around to the paperwork for it. I have never once done it for Menards, and finally stopped shopping there. The “lowest price after rebate” doesn’t matter to me if I don’t actually get it. I do envy people who can keep on top of that sort of thing.

I'm probably going to try some Toughbuilt stuff soon after (posable before) I start my new maintenance job next month, for the moment I'm staying with my 5 gallon bucket and Hyper Tough bucket skirt until I know more about what I will need. When I was at Lowe's I lifted the Toughbuilt 12 inch tote and thought it was kinda heavy and was hoping Toughbuilt would come out with a 10 inch or something in the 10 to 12 inch range that was lighter. I might pull the trigger on a Toughbuilt master electrician pouch before my first day on the job though.

I recently purchased a small ToughBuilt pouch to have a convenient belt mounted nail/screw/ staple bag. I didn't even realize that it had the quick release clip until 8 got it home. It works well, and is easy to use. The nicest thing is being able to quickly change from one fastener to the next or even just remove the pouch altogether. This tote looks interesting, but may be on the smaller end - what other sizes are available?

Nice to see this bag. I just got two toughbuilt pouches myself. I am just a homeowner but want a simple way to grab the tools I need for the job at hand. What belt are you using with it? I haven't gotten the toughbuilt belt because the belt clip just looks too large and bulky for me. But I still feel like it might be a good idea to have some padding inside the belt between the clips and my body. Instead if just using a standard single leather belt. I have seen a dewalt belt that looks kinda OK and also a bosch belt that seemed to have a good quickrelease clip that could be nice. Would really like your thoughts on what to consider when choosing a belt for these.

I like it… but….. I don’t work in a organized manner…. I am 62 and have been a electrician for 42 years…. I’ve searched for the perfect tool solution for many many years. Even invented my own… nothing is perfect. Aside from a homemade pocket hand tool holder for my hoodie I use Rubbermaid bus bins. I arrange 3 to 6 bins on jobs and just toss tools and consumables Into the appropriate bin. When finished I slide the bins in my truck bed and take off. I can still work fast and don’t have to do lots of organizing. It’s not for everyone but I thought I’d share. I know many guys who can work with belts and bags …… That’s not for me. I work for myself so no boss to tell me I’m an idiot. You won’t know till you try it. It may surprise you.

It seems one of the common complaints is how heavy this tote is empty, and then after adding tools it becomes extremely apparent in weight. What’s your experience been? I’m eyeing this tote and thinking of adding the tool belt accessories for additional storage, which I’m afraid will add lots of weight

It is heavy, but mine is on the smaller side so while the weight is noticeable, it is not excessive. What I do notice is the significant space-taking bumps in the bottom.

It's a cool system but I find the layout of the tool pouches don't make much sense compared to traditional tool belts, like Occidental Leather, Klien, Dewalts, and Milwaukee's belts. Hammers loops hit your leg, tools stick out far rather then hug the body, it's really wide and tends to get snagged on things. They need a redesign.
