Actually, the swamp survival is a lot worse than what was shown in the documentary. People will be shocked if they see what really going on during this phase. It is the toughest phase of the entire course.

Netflix should do another series about VAT69, the Malaysian police commando, who are also trained in guerrilla warfare. They have seen through more high-profile cases, such as the Al Maunah (an Islamist separatist group), the intrusion of Lahad Datu, not to mention decades of operations doing cleanup of communist insurgents in the Malay Peninsula. They probably have more interesting stories to tell. Nevertheless, much respect to the guys from GGK, although the general may seem inexperienced when taking on questions during interviews.

Back in 70s to late 80s during communist insurgencies rgk (ggk ) Had conducted so many operations in search and destroy mission in northern part of peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak.(Borneo ). In some cases they chased the insurgent commie high up to the mountain range of banjaran titiwangsa as far as 200 km up to Msia Thai border. And this mission ended 1 to 2 months day and nights relentless with pack ration empty. And the ration will drop by air force in the jungle. So no wonder 160 km forced march and swamp surviving in selection process is needed. Never retreat never surrender.
