You can m1 and use the abilities btw No one says gon is spammable even tho he has two ranged moves because these moves are pretty easy to counter and punish. 2 move is purely used as a combo ender because it can be pretty unreliable and isn't instant. 4 ranged is almost useless if the enemy is somewhat good in the game. But mob is something else. All ranged moves, 1 move is just better than gon 2 move, mob 2 move has so much radius that you practically need to be close to mob to dodge it and the third move is like the 4 move for gon because it is many times used as a combo starter and its a lot better than gon 4 move. And now you see why its called a spammy char.
