Pheeww made it!....On Monday I finished my 11 day hike round the Iveragh Peninsula / kerry way....amazing hike and sad it had to end but at the same time I need a little rest before I plan my next one (not sure where yet)....In total around the Kerry Way I completed 230km...not as long as you guys but it's a start...:) Eoin:)

Oh wow sounds amazing! Congrats on getting so much done in 11 days! And we definitely understand the need for breaks between trails. From here the island is your oyster! Pretty sure that’s the longest National Waymarked Trail, everything is else is down hill ;) (Not counting the Ireland Way/E8 long linked routes I guess) I can’t wait to get down there ourselves - anywhere you recommend stopping off?

Definitely recommend Valentia Island and Cahersiveen ... Iv'e been there before by car but going across to the island on the short ferry crossing by foot was very nice (only 2euros return on foot)....and as a huge bonus the sun was splitting the skies for most of my trip and the day I got to Cahersiveen and Valentia Island was the first day the ferry started running for the summer (perfect timing).....Waterville was beautiful too and as you come over the rolling hills and ridges into waterville the views are really panoramic....I hope when yee get there yee will have the sunny weather I had but i'm sure it'll be beautiful whatever the weather...... In short I say yee should definitely take a rest day in Valentia Island, yee won't regret it, lots to do and see there, Eoin.
