I'm really surprised ZUN went for this style of gameplay for the third game. Feels more like something you do after several games. Also Yumemi's theme is so good.

@@josephayala5727 and even for this game, he added bullets. If you played the original twinkle star sprites, there aren't any bullets, just GIANt enemies and EX attacks

Ah, good ol PoDD one of the most ridiculous games I ever played. Honestly difficulty wise it wasn't that bad (though it did get very cheap at times with the enemy AI) but I distinctly remember putting the videos together took longer than actually beating the various scenarios. Also I remember _really_ getting sick of listening to "Disunified Field Theory of Magic " with how much that song looped and how long that scene went on for...

A shame another Phantasmagoria game hasn't been made since PoFV (and Wonderful Battle Dreamer's demo if you want to count that). Seems to me they aren't taken super seriously either

Is it me, or is there a part of Complete Darkness in Dim Dream (Marisa's theme, not the game) Edit: Yumemi: "I am well-versed in the occult" And thus, Sumireko was born. (And I thought Tenshi was Sariel, lmfao)

"Easy" is not something I've heard used to describe PoDD often. In fact, I'm fairly sure that one person I saw playing it labeled PoDD Lunatic as the hardest thing to beat in all of Touhou, particularly with certain characters. Granted, Normal mode is a bit more forgiving. If I can 1CC a Normal mode, it can't be that bad. (So far, that's 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 13, though admittedly I haven't put a lot of time into 12, 14, or 16 yet.)

Something is off with the game performance. When I had a Toshiba laptop, it ran smoothly whatever the frame rates I set. On Fujitsu laptop, it runs well but whenever I fight Kana Anaberal or Ellen, the game lags like crazy. I have to use the bombs and the panic trigger or whatever it's called to get away with it. There were times I lost because of that. I tried it with some characters but the lag spike was the same. I tried to change the frame rates but the result was still the same. The game is playable but when it comes to those 2 girls, it happens. I'm not sure what causes it to happen while I can play other Touhou pc 98 games normally on my 2nd laptop with windows 10 pro. I'm running them on neko peoject ii.
