Maybe the first time i comment but atleast in my opinion touhou 9 in a great game while his big brother touhou 3 is much harder since you don't have the focus.

Finally, a tier list where Lyrica is the best Prismriver... I'm so proud! Although I'm no competitive expert, PoFV was the first Touhou game I got really into. I spent a ton of time exploring all the routes and playables, settling on Lyrica as my favorite. Getting attached to her through PoFV really shaped the course of my fandom, so I just want to say it made me very happy to hear an analysis that reflects how comfortable I felt maining her in, like, the tiny handful of pvps I've ever played... Makes me wanna step up my game and become the rare Lyrica main who wins tournaments! (Yeah right~) By the way, my favorite part of the review is that I love when gameplay manages to mirror or enforce character -- for example, Cirno's ineffectualness, Merlin's erratic vibes, and Reimu's effortless sense of fluke victory. (Funnily, I stumbled here via a video essay analyzing that aspect of Reimu in particular, hehe.) Thanks for your insight!

"The things that cannot be cut by my Roukanken, forged by youkai... are next to none!" I also like how thematic the character playstyles are. Even the tiering reflects this: the two bosses are just below the then-protagonist characters (Sakuya excepted - maybe she had hayfever?).

Aside from Mystia being one tier higher, your list is identical to the PoFV community's list as far as the tiers are concerned (order within is a bit different). A few days ago, I got TH9. I started playing all characters on normal down the list. Not only did i clear all routes on my first attempt, but my first 1cc was with CIRNO of all characters... FIRST ATTEMPT LMAO. Basically, I have challenged myself to play all the windows-era touhou games in order, starting with 6, and only once i complete a 1cc run on at least normal mode I do not allow myself to continue on. In the case of th9, however, as the extra mode unlock criteria is clearing all routes, i decided that in order to move on i would need to clear all routes and get at least one 1cc to move on, and when i clutched out that cirno 1cc, i was so happy.

I'd unironically put Cirno above Tewi and 2 of the prismriver sisters purely because Cirno's scope and speed feel quite comfortable to play with, she's not that good but I wouldn't put her E tier, as it implies it's borderline unplayable, which isn't true for her

I think I agree with both Mystia and Medicine, but both of them characters… makes me want to use them more. Mystia has some really decent spammable curvy bullets but not that shockingly good. Mystia bullets are kinda slow, but just that good enough curvy bullets makes a little bit intimidating but not overly scary. The one thing I hate about it’s the weird limit or restriction for… “balancing purposes”. When trying to spam many bullets as possible… DONT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME OR BAR TO DO THAT! When using Mystia and use many L2 or L3, there it’s this weird thing that happens in the middle where the bullets somehow get erased out of thin air when spamming much. This thing happens to some of ALL characters as well. For example such as Reimu, Medicine, Yuuka, Reisen, and certain others from their L2. If you spam the L2 or L3 bullets to many times from the same place or same area. It will either be replace with the current spellcard firstly thrown, or it will shoot less bullets. I find this that annoying! In the case with Medicine, in my perspective I think Medicine L1 his very good. Sure, her L1 is weak but this can be used instead for gain more points since Medicine is a character that loves getting points freely and since if you want to gain points from your left (for example) but you can’t cuz their many bullets from that area specific that impedes or prevents you from trying to gain points. Her scope is like a star shape, but the cool fact it’s that the L1 with shoot from the same angle that the star shapes pointing is at. Medicine it’s overall good for defense and I absolutely love this character.

One important point to consider is that playing the campaign of PoFV changes your playstyle to be much more defensive (since the AI on this game is ridiculous) so the tierlist could be flipped upside down in those criterias.

I can see why he'd not know for the complicated names for the yama or Reisen, but the way that he mispronounces simple names that have a known pronunciation is kinda annoying. Cirno is pronounced [CHI-RU-NO] or [CHEER-NO] (if you ignore the Japanese accent), not [SEER-NO]. Tewi is [Tei] due to old Nihon stuff that I don't really understand. Marisa... why on earth is he saying "Maurice-a"? Even a Japanese pronunciation would only separate the Mari-sa. Sorry if I sound like a prude on this. The tier-list is fine, but every time I heard a simple word or name mispronounced, I felt like my brain was pinched.
