@ScarletDevilRage i know. and there's "A Summer Day's Dream" which only had one ep, but it's something that ZUN had a part in. then he cancelled it. though second ep seems to be getting made, but still unsure if it'll ever be done. oh. and i seen someone comment that ZUN doesn't want official stuff made, just so fans can let loose and create other neat stuff like "Memories of phantasm" without having to worry about any copyright stuff.

@w1ll0s It's a parody of an important scene in Macross 7, where Basara gets pissed that everyone keeps fighting and fires the missiles that are equipped to his mech, but is stopped by his teammate and is reminded of his task. Substitute Marisa for Basara and missiles for Master Spark and you get the idea.

Touhou is a series of games, but it's the fanbase that makes the animations, manga, music, art etc. It's the fans that create all of this. Also there is fan made anime called touhou memories of phantasm, if my answer was too abstract.

I stopped watching anything Macross for a looong while after Robotech, but this sure put a smile on my face: Marisa singing her way through battles, Reimu's machine gun-like danmaku bursts, and Sakuya's missile-like knife barrage. No, basically backwards from what you said sans a few details. It is a PC game series with a large fanbase dedicated enough to produce their own OVAs. The games came before the animated spin-offs, remixed sound tracks and memes.
