It’s 2020 and this video takes me back to my late elementary to the end of middle school years when I was obsessed with touhou characters and the music wish I could have gotten into the games sooner but as a kid I had no idea how to download them. I recently downloaded touhou 6 and 10 and a fan made game as well, the games are difficult but fun and I’m getting much better. I wish I could go back to those simpler times, how time flies.

As far as I can tell, the Touhou fandom is still very lively, with tons of new artwork, doujin and music being released. 2020 probably won't have any physical doujin markets like comiket, reitaisai or even Japan Expo, but they'll return, I'm confident!

I always find it really funny how (especially in fan works) all the characters are generally friends and just hang out together having fun in Gensokyo, but meanwhile in the games the plots seem to usually be something like "Reimu notices something bad going on, and immediately starts beating up anyone she comes across until it stops" or "Marisa is running around beating up anyone she comes across, and eventually stops whatever was happening."
