toehoe magc fornication - magc skwuar rmx saar feem Great remix ! I enjoy the buildup, and your usual electric guitar riffs are always great. One of the best (easily findable) remixers that cover PC-98 frequently.

Do you mean actual theme or arrange? Because Sara only has one theme.
@marth64op962 жыл бұрын
@@nomatter7887 I could say both, but I just still believe that Sara theme is my favorite! Not like maybe others agree but still the arrange is still pretty good!

This is a solid remix, but I noticed a few weird parts. I am no musician so I may sound a bit dumb with these comments. -On some of the parts, especially towards the start, I noticed your kick drum was drowning out some of your other instruments. You can tell in the section at the 1:03 and 1:18 mark. I think the volume of it is too high and the app could not render the other instruments, as you can notice the rest of the song very subtly fades out on each kick. -The high notes, the "sparkly" sound, also seemed a bit loud compared to the main melody. I am sure it is difficult to balance for this song as the melody is a relatively low frequency. -At around 3:15, the part with the trumpet is really nice but once again the main melody seems a bit too quiet. But that might actually be your intention (it sounds good) so you can ignore this one. -Some parts of the song feels a bit crowded/chaotic, and you can tell because when the song transitions into the next section, it feels like it got super silent suddenly. An example would be at 2:05. But I liked one of your transitions that progressed more slowly. From 2:45 to 3:15 you slowly removed instruments before going into the trumpet section. I feel like that sort of rhythm is smoother, and it sounds so much better for the listener after patiently going through such a buildup. And don't get me wrong, the quick silent transitions are not all bad, most of yours were still executed great. -Also, at the very end, whatever you were playing was very incredibly quiet. I practically could not hear it. Overall, my complaints are pretty minor and subjective. I still liked the remix, especially the trumpet, and the guitar that was playing Dream Express.

Wow um… that’s some solid feedback… I’ve never gotten that much input in years… But anyways, I just follow how the original plays. The silent part at 2:05 is actually intentional because it’s part of the original as well, as it starts right back to the melody line. The ending… yeah, maybe I should’ve just use the piano on that one instead of a music box… It’s too quiet lol. I can’t really justify how terrible I do when it comes to balancing every sound. It’s so tough trying to manage one instrument to another, that it’s kinda hard for me to hear all of them. So, yeah I just do what I have to do: make music like always, and give PC-98 music the attention it deserves. I’m not a music expert either, and I do this for fun and as a side hobby. So I apologize if my music was a bit too much…But thank you for giving me some good feedback from this, it’s a good learning experience for me, and I’ll try my best next time to balance everything, though it probably may not happen because I just create it. Thank you so much for your feedback.

@@MarioGm734 I myself am actually trying to learn how to make music, and learned today a crucial information to solve the kick drum issue. Apparently the low frequency soundwaves of the kick, which are inaudible to the human ear, are still "rendered" by the app. And since the song cannot surpass 0 dB, the loud yet inaudible frequencies "take up" some of the decibels, and therefore the sound of other instruments are decreased. It is... hard to explain with my level of knowledge. Basically, the solution seems to be cutting off sounds that are lower than 20 or 30 Hertz, as they cannot be heard anyways. I am unsure how to do that in your garageband. By the way, remember that you can stray far from the original rhythm and experiment with your own song structure! In my opinion the best remixes sound very different from the original, which of course is incredibly difficult and risky to do, but can sound truly amazing. Such as this hardcore remix of Koishi's theme kzbin.info/www/bejne/npCmfWekmNeKZs0 Your main strength seems to be mixing different themes together though, and I guess that makes it even more difficult to come up with your own transitions.

I’ll be honest with that koishi remix… it’s a little too much for me unfortunately… sorry… No harm to the person that made it, it’s very good. But it’s kinda too much for me. Anyways, I’ll look up this knowledge of the kick drum issue. I’m sure it will help me balance the drum sounds. And as much as I would love to experiment on song structure, I like to keep things original. Yes, it may be too repetitive and boring, but that’s how I want to keep it that way. Someday, I’ll create my own mix, but my current focus is to just make and finish every PC-98 song out there that never gets any attention. I will take your suggestion to heart though. I’m sure a lot of people would like to listen to something different and something really cool.

haha, yeah, the genre is pretty niche, no need to say any sorries. As a final note, your remixes remind me of mocchie, you should give his remixes a listen. They also sound pretty similar to the original.
