Marisa is the one who tends to take things from his store and the only reason he doesn't say anything is because she usually gives him / trades him things that are worth far more than she realizes.

If you don't know, Thares a story in Japanese that's call Hanasaka jiisan. And he had a box filled with magical ash's, That can grew cherry blossom if throw into a tree. And this animation reminds of that!
