Unlike the first part, where i cried too much. In this one i didn't cried one single time. But you want to know something? That doesn't matter... You don't watch something looking for crying or feeling sadness, i'm very sure you came here for enjoying it, and not only for the cries, sobs and tears. What i want to mean with this, is a message for the people like me who didn't cried seeing this. Don't feel bad... remember, crying is not something obligatory to do. And not crying will not make you automatically heartless. Crying is not something necessary for understanding the story or all the characters behind. If you feel sad watching an scene from this. Go ahead and let it out, is not something bad having and feeling emotions when watching something, and will not make you less. In the other part, if you didn't felt sad watching the scenes, and don't want to look yourself as someone heartless or unsensitive. Then don't force it, don't try to force emotions, it is better to cry when having genuine sadness rather than crying when you see that you need to cry in that specific part. Not everyone is born with the same sensibility or unsensibility. Everyone is different on how they react to something. Is more than enough appreciating the hard work and effort put on this, and all the story behind this. Tears will not change nothing mate :) Also, saying that you didn't cried is not a way of flexing, and will not make you different than others, you are the same like others. After seeing this, i really saw how beautiful this is. Is a real masterpiece for all the touhou fans, and a perfect ending for a gloresome story. And i'm very sure i share the same opinion as much other people. Thank you so much for reading to the end. I hope you enjoyed this story as much i did. I wish you good luck in life :)

As someone who just got into Touhou a couple of weeks ago, I was not expecting this from the Touhou Fans. Don't get me wrong, this one, is what I would outright call a generational artwork. Personally, as someone who I consider myself indifferent to emotions, this series made me feel human. To which I learned that one of the key factors in the Little Reimu series is that, Rumia, in the beginning didn't have any ambitions, she was searching for something, a goal of sort. It made me realize that, all creatures longs and desire for something. Something to do to be 'fulfilled' in life. And honestly, I myself the finally found the reason of my non-interests and indifference to things that humans would usually do. This series made me realize that I 'need' something to pursue, to strive for. And do let's not ignore the appreciation of other Touhou Fan Works. The series itself showed appreciation for other Touhou content creators too, looking back and comparing the old Touhou from the now new franchises and fandoms, I felt a feeling of nostalgia and genuinity in the old Touhou fandom. Funny, I wasn't even a fan who has witnessed all the fanworks that was released in that exact moment, in that exact time yet I feel nostalgic seeing this old Touhou content. Truly, all hail ZUN for making such a masterpiece and all the fans who made fan works, contents, that evolved the Touhou fandom to it's now glory.

Pre-comment note: this comment was made while i was at the end of the 3rd part, (around 45:30), so not all information will be accurate. Spoilers ahead for both osamu reimu and the first three parts of reireimu. Yukari's a right old piece of garbage, isn't she. She sort of set up everything that happens up to this point, right from the very beginning, when reimu was small, and the man-eating youkai was big. Fine, rumia's pile of skulls in the osamu part 3 flashback was, well, slightly excessive, the methods to deal with it went very wrong. For starters, it is understandable that the clumsy miko was sent after her. It makes sense given the situation, and then reimu meeting rumia would be inevitable with rumia being bought to the hakurei shrine for supervision (albeit hard bondage supervision, with rumia being stuck to a tree and all). So far, none of that was really avoidable, as it solves the issue of too many being eaten, however, it raised a new issue, rumia going cold turkey on human flesh. I mean, it was rumia's choice, however, rumia, being the man-eating youkai of darkness, needed to eat humans to live, more specifically, the darkness of people, of which, other than the clumsy miko's muso tensei (i think that's how you spell it, i'll just use fantasy nature from now on though), could only be gotten from eating people. This lead to the tragedy of the last quarter of osamu reimu. This is where the avoidable stuff comes in: Yukari, in the aftermath of the tragedy, erases that part of memory from the majority of people, excluding herself (for obvious reasons), and yukka (she just said no), because yukari. This also throws away the miko's last wish, which, well, as stated earlier, is a kinda crummy move, yukari, especially for someone you considered a friend, and you were WATCHING THE FIGHT, SO YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAID. That aside, despite this, the events still have an effect on people closely involved in it, with rinnosuke putting flowers at the now forgotten miko's grave. The tragedy also makes it so rumia and reimu are closer than they otherwise would be. Fast-forward to somewhere at least after 7.5, however, given a commenter saying there's characters up to and including touhou 9, safe to assume it's somewhere around touhou 9 or 10. By this time, a good 15-30 years have passed since, and the now smol rumia's seal, left by the forgotten miko to contain all of the darkness rumia has gathered (to give rumia the chance for happiness) is breaking, and during the events of reireimu 3, the seal breaks, and there's now a big blob of digesting darkness engulfing central gensokyo, and yukari is handling it with sealing all of the darkness, including rumia. Yukari decides to handle it herself, and does not want the now protagonist duo of reimu and marisa to deal with it, because apppaaaaaaarently it's too risky. After a while (and a small flashback from reimu), they both decide to go deal with it, and yukari uses the tried and true method of traffic sign collection to say no, and, when that doesn't work, makes the phantasm stage stage 1. That's a briefish plot synopsis (and why yukari was born from an unlawful marriage in medieval europe), now time for stuff that may happen slightly further ahead. In reireimu 3, reimu has a dream about a scene from osamu reimu 6, the one with her mother with the fireworks after coming back from the festival and having a nap. Just before that point is rumia's seal breaking. To me, this suggests that yukari's memory editor has started faltering, and that, soon, people will start remembering the tragedy of the forgotten miko, at least in fractured pieces. Anyway, that's my theorycrafting for now done, i shall wait until the end to make an edit to confirm or deny my statements. Edit #1 (post part 4, at around 1:09:09) Turns out, i was wrong on quite a few places, but yukari's still morally ambiguous but she's actually done some good. Also, turns out the garden of the sun scenes in part 2 were more important than i thought, due to everyone joining in to push reimu right to the ball of darkness, especially marisa gear rising. I was sort of right on the memory editor stopping working, but i was attributing it to the wrong person for rumia: rumia's was by the seals on her ribbon, i still have evidence that yukari did some of rumia and everyone else though, and it was one big burst along with the darkness. All in all, quite good, will update with an edit 2 at the end of part 5. Edit 2: (1:31:05 was video time of this writing) Oh no, the roomba has snapped due to the emotional pressure and a point of view where the current system makes everyone miserable, now who does that remind me of, hmmmmmmmm (it's me, that's who it reminds me of). As everyone on the outside battles to stop the darkness from expanding (they forgot to stop it going up), reimu battles a very angry rumia inside the expanding darkness, and, towards the end, rumia not only creates an ultra wormhole by TEARING IT INTO THE SKY, but also starts utilising the previous miko's fantasy nature form in a fit of desperate rage, hence temporarily becoming an avatar of night pure fury, just like a certain lunarian genocider, except towards gensokyo rather than the moon people. Will reimu hakurei be able to calm down everybody's favorite roomba, or will gensokyo be destroyed? Find out in the next half hour of reireimu! Edit 3: (post part 6, specifically at 2:05:31) Well, reimu's danmaku therapy went surprisingly well, but, unfortunately it backfired due to rumia using way too much power during the incident. Rumba, may you rest in peace, you've earned it. Rumia's grand final attack, otherwise known as abyss "dead sky", was a heck of an attack alright, and the name, well, that speaks for itself. I also like the detail of everyone crying or solemnly holding thier heads down with respect during reimu and rumia's speech as rumia faded away, plus the performance on the Japanese vocalising, i may not be able to understand most of what it's saying, but, my do they know how to convey emotion! Also Cirno, Reimu, and Marisad's sobbing when the camera focused on them during that scene, just put it all together into one hell of an emotional package. I need to take a few hints from this reimu when it cones to emotional support: if all else fails, mostly harmless bullet hell! (So no knives, or anything hard enough to hurt). Anyway, there's still 35 minutes of this left, time to see where the aftermath of this grand incident goes (and also extra stage perhaps?) See you at the end! Final edit (credits): My, the multiverse is a hakurei shrine conspiracy (And yuyuko too)! In more serious notes, it stretches fantasy nature quite a bit, and for that matter yukari's boundries (though that's no consideration sometimes based on the fact that there's an undertale au that yukari shows up unnanounced in, commits some dunking with sans undertale, causes an april fools timeline split, then leaves, after organising a train back). All in all, the combined osanu reimu and reireimu stories are fantastic, if stretching touhou canon in a few places (particularly on that last part), but most fanworks do some amount of stretching when it comes to canon. All in all, great watch, and hope that yukari enjoyed her multiversal tea party!

Does anyone here know if Joyfull (creator of the series) is still active? Or if has done something after this series (I don't understand Japanese so I can't understand nico nico's page)
@ShinSHOGO Жыл бұрын
There’s another story called Suikakasen that Joyfull did. It’s been translated, but doesn’t have the voice work treatment that YouReimu and ReiReimu got, so far. It’s still incredible, just like these two were. 😢

He still does the art for the touhou mvs that you can find on shinra bansho's channel as far as I remember.

@@spark9189Breaking the fourth wall has been done in theater for more than a century. and the multiverse, if I'm not mistaken, has existed since the 50s. Everything has already been invented. take it easy. The important thing is what you do with it, not whether it is burned or not, because if so we couldn't do anything.
