Definitely not, rugby is pretty young in Montpellier, a lot younger than the Toulouse-Montpellier football games. I'm not even sure there's a special rivalry between Toulouse and Montpellier in rugby, apart from the fact that pretty much every team in France feel they have a special rivalry with Toulouse. There isn't a special rivalry in football either, but this season it was a very important game because french Ligue 1 will shrink from 20 to 18 teams at the end of the season, relegating 4 teams in the process. Both teams here are natural candidates seeking to avoid those 4 spots of doom, therefore direct confrontations are specially important. Better beat Montpellier and lose to PSG than the contrary.
