I am getting ready to relocate to France. Researching which cities would be ideal. That place seems very relaxed and visually appealing. Questions is affordability?
@FoucauldDegeorges3 ай бұрын
Hi, I live here. Housing is substantially cheaper than Paris. Housing for purchase will be around 3000€ / sqm or you might pay around 750€ monthly to rent a 50 sqm flat (depending on neightborhood of cours). Public transport is good and the subscription is 50€ / month. The price for groceries is similar to Paris, maybe a bit cheaper. The downside to the city is that it's relatively isolated - 2h train or drive from Bordeaux or Montpellier, 4.5h train or 6h drive from Paris. The mountains are 2h drive or train away, the sea is 2-3h away. Also it can get super warm in the summer.

@@FoucauldDegeorges I prefer to be away from the craziness of the city. Maybe go there (Paris) once a month or so. I create digital illustrations and prefer peace and relaxation. Affordability is what I am looking for. I greatly appreciate the info. This may be too much to ask. Would you be ok if we can continue to communicate? The more I know about your country, the less I have to worry about falling on my face. If you are ok with it?

It rains mostly between October and March. But not even that much, he was just a bit unlucky. Otherwise it’s a very very very (I insist) sunny city. Maybe even too much: people mostly stay inside between June and September. Je suis du coin ;)

Hi, I would like to study in the South of France for a month this summer. I can't decide between Montpellier or Toulouse. Toulouse seems cheaper, but Montpellier seems hipper with more to do. Do you have any thoughts between the two cities?
@ProjectGaiaTravel7 күн бұрын
Hi @praylaughsin! How exciting that you're planning to study in the South of France! Both Montpellier and Toulouse are amazing choices, but they each offer a different vibe. Montpellier has a younger, more student-oriented atmosphere with a Mediterranean flair, which makes it feel vibrant and dynamic. On the other hand, Toulouse offers greater diversity in age and feels more laid-back, with a charming balance of tradition and innovation-though it doesn't have quite the same Mediterranean feel as Montpellier. If you're curious about Toulouse, I recommend checking out our Toulouse tour here: (kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJupYnakorWbi7M). Thanks so much for watching, and if you’re enjoying the content, don’t forget to subscribe for more videos around France, Europe, and beyond! 😊
