After months of watching apartment,and house reviews and pricing from California,and New York City,I think the price is very good.Such a well done estate with tasteful decorating,and livable furniture too.Too many places are decorated as 'showrooms'and have either bland colors and decor,or over the top opulence that's tasteless to most.This castle looks like a home.

you can see the difference between old money and new money. This gorgeous estate is old money, while those $50,000,000 garish open concept monstrosities are new money trash. This home, while the pinnacle of luxury, is easy and understated in it's delivery. It's grand, yet comfortable. It's sprawling, yet cozy and warm. A true estate.

I remember looking at this house earlier this year, not sure if before or after this video -- owner had their personal computer on the mezzanine and I saw some Christmas lights in that beautiful hallway around 7:30 😂 was nice seeing it "lived" in. The property taxes on this Estate are 1/2 of a listing for the same price in Oregon. It is at $150k a year property taxes with 50 acres. 16,000 +square ft Estate Overall this Connecticut Estate is a very good investment.

@@ekop1778 Shhhh. We’re really fortunate here. We get lots of rain every year. We’re on hydro electric power and there’s lots of Windmills too. Bonneville Dam and the Columbia Gorge is one of the best windy places year round. Plus home solar is making a surge. Any extra power is sold to other states through Boneville Power.

That it has imported limestone doesn't bump it up to a conservatory. lol. That's not a conservatory in any way, shape or form. I wouldn't even call it a sunroom. It's an amazing enclosed patio space. Love the space here. Over 6 acres means no one is right on you. Paying $15M means you Shouldn't have anyone right on top of you.

Built in 1929! That Mansion is 93yrs old! My Grandma who has passed on was born in 1930. Clint Eastwood also was born in 1930. To mention this Mansion is 50yrs my senior. I was born in 1979. The asking price $14.9mil. That's a bargain!

"if you can afford this house, you don't care about maintenance cost" is the thing I'm the most tired of hearing. I would assume the annual cost for this property would be around 1.5 million dollars. The reason one would have the means to afford such property is because they can count.

Or because they inherited money. Or because they just made a ton of money doing some random business. Also at a certain point of wealth, 1 million isnt that much comparatively. Like to the average person, its completely life changing. To someone with a few 100 million in the bank, its around the same damage to their bank account as someone paying a neighbor kid to do the lawn.

@@bighaneul89 Based on my experience with people with such wealth, most do care. All three that I'm referring to are billionaires here in North America, all family friends, and none have inherited. I know a million isn't much for them, heck I'd have to work for about 50,000 years (or 25 baby-jesus-to-today) to have the same amount of money as one of them does (he's at roughly 3B). It's really the same as me giving 50k to my parents if I hit the 50 million jackpot, which is nothing. I just think the phrase the realtor used is both cliché, overused, and most untrue. Cheers!
