Haven't seen Baron Von U-turn for a while, wonder what that lad's doing.

I love that you're showing people that you don't need a cruiser or touring bike in order to travel long distances. I'm in awe of all the scenery and that was one sweet hotel room!
@DangleVonBallbag11 жыл бұрын
As I sit in my office on a dreary Essex Monday lunchtime, accompanied by a half eaten feta cheese and red pepper wrap and a bottle of Evian, I can't help but think you were having a slightly better time of it on a bike that's only 98% there. That hotel room looks similar to the 1st one we saw in France - both look very nice indeed.

Touring, spending long hours on the saddle out on the open road has that effect on the rider. And every man has had the same emotion that was expressed by you towards the end of the video, when they and their motorcycle eventually make it. On the road it is the reliability that matters, not performance. And when a motorcycle delivers reliability it is means so so much more than going a 10th of a second faster on the track. Great series!
@dlus636911 жыл бұрын
Awesome feeling to think you and your little motorcycle have left your house and taken you to a completely different country/culture/environment! I had the same feeling! I enjoy this series more than most things on TV....not Breaking Bad though, I'm not ridiculous.

Have to agree with Jean-Pierre, you do need the V5 when riding in Europe. It's not proof of ownership but it is proof that you are the keeper of the vehicle. Great vid again Mr Baron, best biking one on KZbin :)

Loving the tour, I can't wait to get back to the UK, the access to all this right on your door step, I did a push bike camping tour through France Belgium and Holland last year (with my 80 year old Dad), it was a real eye opener to just how easy it is to travel cheaply (re an earlier vid where you said there is no need for flash hotelks really) though so much history, I'll have to think about a motorbike tour too. I have been in isolation (New Zealand) for far too long!

Brilliant episode Baron! I can relate to your feeling of being "overwhelmed". A bike is an odd touring vehicle, I always feel it kind of dwarfs the distances. It's very different from driving. Kinda like if you kept going, any destination is reachable, but in a very real way! i love that feeling. Can't wait for my next ride. Damn!

We need this stuff on TV - proper Man-telly for a Sunday evening. Keep it as it is without the TV Gurus glamorizing it in their typical fashion and after the watershed keeping it real.... A kind of selection of the latest hand-picked motorcycle Vlog trips by Joe-public. This new series will have to start with barons off-road one though, cos that will pull in the crowds. Yeah dream on.....

Epic trip. Not the same but I once drove my old 1991 VW polo (the breadvan type) from south west Ireland to Plymouth and then got the ferry to Santander. It struggled over many of the high climbs that sometimes went on for miles but I eventually got there - to my apartment on the Costa Del Sol. Where was that - looks like estepona but then many seaside resorts look the same. I hate them off season - the whole place seems so dead.

Baron Von Bloody Macbook! Another thing we have in common! Are you using iMovie or Final Cut Pro to edit? Those tight twisties with bugger all visibility around corners are a lot like my local hills. Too right, you do have to ride more sensibly when touring far from home. I did a vlog on that such topic whilst touring earlier this year. I call it "riding at 80%".

I'm currently doing my unrestricted license, I've been racing off road in past years doing speedway and have road experience, however I'm torn between a supersport eg gsxr etc or like a sport tourer such as mt07 or er6n. I will use it for weekend riding and days off in week for long journey to see family now and again, what do you recommend as I personally prefer the k7 gsxr but what do you think for practicality and performance.
