La hiérarchie semble établie sur ce Tour de France. Sur les étapes de montagne, les trois meilleurs coureurs sont Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates), Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike) et Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step), dans cette ordre. Ce dimanche, le Belge a terminé à la troisième position, 2 minutes et 51 secondes après le Slovène. "Aujourd’hui Tadej et Jonas ont montré qu’ils étaient les deux meilleurs" a résumé Evenepoel à l'arrivée.

If someone told me two years ago that that meatball Remco will fight toe to toe with Pog and Jonas for the TdF podium, I’d laugh. And here we are now. WELL DONE KID!

Yes, indeed, Remco was already fine in his 1st TDF. He proved that so far, he can climb in the high mountain stages, but he has not that pace of Tadje nor Jonas. These 2 are on another level. Like he said, he's the best of the rest. The younger Remco would have tried to follow these 2 topriders, going over his limits and cracking down. Now, Remco gets back to his own pace. He's riding for the 3rd place and possibly going for the win on the last ITT, getting a 2nd stage win in his 1st TDF. Not bad at all, if nothing happens, of course.

Well ... 2'51 is not a fight. I was Surprise the first 13 stage for his good performance but now with High Mountain the difference Is huge. Every time Jonas or tadej Attack he takes time he never stayed with them and when you lose 30 It s okay but 3 minutes It s Just too much. He can improve for next year but im afraid that against pogi and vingegard he Will be Always the number 3

@@stefanocavallin6221Look at it from another perspective-he beats everyone who is not Pog and Jonas. And there are some heavy hitters among those. Remco is doing amazingly well

I get your point, but let's be honest. Pogi and Jonas​ are just better, and if Remco would try to follow their pace in the mountain stages, he would blow up. So Remco is riding his own pace and securing the 3rd spot. Which is amazing. Everybody (myself in cluded) was not sure if Remco could hold on in the mountain stages and thinking he would crack, so in this context Remco is doing great. Finishing 3rd on every mountain stage so far. Leaving other climbers in the dust.@stefanocavallin6221
