I also loved the battles for the polkadot and white jersey. Teammates Femke Markus and Femke Gerritse (Parkhotel Valkenburg) grabbing the hilly polkadots, while Demi Vollering took over in the mountains. Maike van der Duin (Le Col-Wahoo) attacking and sprinting to get white. Julie De Wilde (Plantur-Pura) and Julia Borgström (AG Insurance-NXTG) taking over. It was a great battle next year! Who was your stand out rider? 🔎

@@gcnracingHere are some of the things I like, apart from the well known top performances: * Beach racers Paulina Rooijakkers and Riejanne Markus winning road races. They've often been the last to drop out of the front of the race, gaining little press attention. With age they're steadily growing in strength and endurance. * Thalita de Jong being signed by Liv Racing. Hopefully it's a sign that the streak of injuries is over, and she'll thrive again. * Young track racers coming up: Maike van der Duin and Daniek Hengeveld doing well at the World Track Championships as the front runners of a whole team that aims at the Paris Olympics. They brighten up road races in breakaways. * First year on any license: Eva van Agt (former field hockey player) was in the breakaway of the Volta Limburg Classic, got a pro licence from Le Col-Wahoo and rode the Tour de Femmes. I'm curious to see how much she can grow.
