Tour de France Stage 7 ITT, Watercolors and Bike Racing Come Together

After winning the second stage of this Tour, both his first stage win and his team’s in the history of the Tour de France, it was a surprise to see him putting in a competitive ride in the first of two Individual Time Trials. He logged the new best time as he crossed the line that lasted only a few minutes before his time was beaten my 3/4 of a second. As I paint this piece I talk about the race of truth, the Tour thus far and all things watercolor and art.
