Thanks for watching guys! I want to say sorry for the slightly higher audio volume than usual, I was editing while tired, and exported it. Only then did I realise it was out and I had already deleted my files. Sorry!!

Ed - your ability to mix rides with massive power over 10-20mins and endurance climbs like this and still be top 20 is on another level. Really enjoyed this raw edit - could feel the searing heat ... 💯👌

Can't believe how fresh you looked at the end! 280 to 310W's on the climb is a killer pace. I'd have to stick to about 210 if I was going to make it to the end.

Yep, the heat was the issue I was worried about. It's well worth arriving earlier and acclimatising.

I have also been in that place where you're so screwed you have no choice but to climb in Z1 and you couldn't have paid me to talk to anyone let alone a camera hahaha. Very Impressive vlog commitment! Mega effort especially considering the heat dude :-)

Well done great race in a great country, l have lived just outside Zürich since 1980 but only started cycling in 1996 after a skiing accident. Let me know if your doing the race next year and you can stay with the family over here. Once again well done

massive kudos Ed. That's a serious amount of distance, climbing, at altitude and in that heat. The Swiss love that kind of stuff - they're doing ultra-distance running up 3000m peaks too. Crazy

Awesome riding, Ed, and I'm amazed that you could be so coherent to camera after 11hrs. Hilarious that you thought the time was the time gap but why on Earth were they showing the time of day? You don't expect that...

Congrats Ed on the massive effort. You inspired me to knock out the Uber Pretzel route on Saturday in preparation for the 6 Gap Century in the north Georgia mountains in late September. I also purchased the Roswheel frame bag for the event. It looks sleek and functional.

Well done Ed, never mind the ride itself, going solo?? What this video highlighted to me - how important is a really good team of support, either for providing drinks food along route, or having some people around who you know as simple mental checkpoints or support at the end... seemed a bit of an anti-climax that you crossed the line and the lady bar coded you and done. Where was Frank Schleck?? I didn’t see him in the results.

It was a bit of an anti climax. For sure next time I’ll rope people in to help on the day! Schleck DNS’d!!

A real pity about the timing. Do you think you could have stayed with the front group? I reckon you could have. Also, we are all learning about how to wear masks but you shouldn’t touch the front to move them just the sides to keep your hands germ/virus free. Ride on.
