It looked cold in the tent. I hope you had decent sleeping bags with you. Even the teepee looked cold with Gemma putting on her gloves.

The temperatures did indeed become very chilly. I mistakenly took this sleeping bag which in typical September temperatures would have been ok: Sea to Summit Flame FmII Women's Regular Comfort 2 degrees, lower limit -4 degrees, extreme -21 C and a sleeping bag liner: Omm Core Liner. I wish I took this one instead for the sake of a bit more weight and space: Sea to Summit Flame FmIV Women's Regular Comfort -10 degrees, limit -17, extreme -38 degrees! Fortunately Gemma made a last minute swap and took my autumn sleeping bag: Sierra Designs Women Cloud 800 20 Degree Down Sleeping Bag Comfort Limit -3 with a Sea to Summit Thermolite Reactor Extreme sleeping bag liner.

@@wildwanderwomen694 All great bags. It sounds like you have a sleeping collection like me. Different seasons, different bags. My wife thinks you need just one😂 I prefer to be too warm than cold. Bad sleep because of cold can ruin a trip

Hi, we began the hike on 5th September expecting the average temperatures for September. This weather we experienced according to the locals was unusually cold.
