Thank you so much for sharing this video. I'm doing TMB this June and was looking at reviews online but nothing as concise as this. I have some of the gear you showed like the X-mid 1 (not solid though, unsure if that will give some trouble) and crazy enough I was looking at same backpack, now it's sorted - I'm getting it. Glad it helped - I had this same problem which was why I made this video. June was an ideal time to go because the trail was pretty empty and it was still nice and cool with tons of daylight for hiking. Good luck on your TMB!

Yes - I used it at every camp site, for sure. That said, I did three nights in refugios, so it was wasted at those stops. I'm considering leaving at home on my next trip, though, as it really is a true luxury item.
