Good test I think you had good distance with it but I envy your sim distance I have to hit a longer shaft because my ping G425 is at 45 3/4 in length but shorter then the SIM but since I hit the ball all over the face I can’t justify a SIM compared to a ping ... good luck

Great video. When you loft up, you close the face a bit... thats one reason why you didn’t see the right side of the fairway here on your “normal” swing. That could be helpful for some and not so much for myself, where my miss is left. I’d rather get a 10 or 10.5 and loft it down to 8 or 8.5 which opens the face. ALso my attack angle is +5 so i need to keep my spin loft in check

Firstly, i sure hope I can come to Tampa this fall. This Covid has to “fade” away. 😂😂 Great video on the Rad, I like your personality doing your videos, kind of like whatever happens, happens. One thing I do like about the Rad is the price. I haven’t hit one yet, only swung 425, and SIM 2. Will definitely give this one a try. Summer is coming need a driver to match my new G425 irons. Will also be testing out woods/hybrids. Speaking of woods and hybrids could you do a video on the difference between the two on course? Thx!!

Yes a little back in stance and possibly close the face just a tad and that will promote a draw

Man that driver is overall awesome, and you did a great job really showing it’s pros and even some cons. My current driver is a Ping G LST at 44 1/4 inches and I absolutely love it. This Cobra is definitely something I can see myself saving up for and playing one day. I feel like that driver would be a great upgrade for me eventually. Quick question, is this driver head customizable? I feel like I’ve seen some cobra Rad drivers that were in red, white, and blue? Not sure though. Great video as always! 👍🏻
@LetsPlayThru3 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s weird you can order the driver in either the yellow &black combination or the red & blue version. You can adjust the loft, which is what I did. I turned this one up to 10°.

Good review. Your numbers are virtually identical to mine so I can really get a good idea of what to expect from driver just by watching your review. I currently have a Cobra SZ extreme 9 degree/rogue 60s, which I got for practically nothing, and it's a fairway finding machine. The extreme head spins a bit too much, but the head is so stable I can really lay into it and still hit target, so it's kind of makes up for it. I doubt there would be a tone of difference between the SZ and Rad, but I'm always looking at drivers, so I'm sure I'll give it a try. I do like matte finish as well. Those vero balls look to be pretty good also. Do you know what the compression is? I find for myself, testing balls on Trackman all winter, and even though I'm only topping out around 103 with a driver, that the firmer balls (TP5x, Tour BX, PV1X, etc) give me better ball speed and distance off the driver, the best being the Tour BX.
@LetsPlayThru3 жыл бұрын
Thanks James. These are mid compression - 78 on the scale.

Hmm are you sure you got the Tour Length and not the regular? My Tour Length arrived today and has 16 and 6 GM weights in it. Confirmed with Cobra's website that these are as expected. @LetsPlayThru3 жыл бұрын
There are some roll adjustments. I usually find it to be pretty accurate, but if it goes into the rough, it doesn’t roll and it’s definitely going to estimate more. I will be testing it for accuracy against some other personal launch monitors soon on the channel though
