just for people in the comments - he did not miss an MT - it's a first-frame MT visual glitch. you can check using those speed lines that emanate from the center of the screen when you're in a boost.

nah certain glitch happens on uphill and downhill sections where if you get a blue mt early enough it just doesnt appear, but you still get speed boost

that was actually a first frame mini turbo. when that happens you get the mini turbo without the colored sparks appearing. if he missed the mini turbo there he would've lost a lot of momentum and this definitely wouldn't have been a wr
