Are utilities included in the monthly rent? About how much do utilities run there?

Electric is usually not included. I pay around $100 USD per mint on electric, but I live air conditioning!

Hi, Shawn, we've seen your videos a number of times. We've been to Placencia in 2016 and twice in 2018. Hopefully, we'll be there in mid-March. Can you tell me about the current situation with sargassum please? Is it on the beach? We stay at Casa Palma when we're there. Thanks, Shawn!!
@ltmac53 Жыл бұрын
Really depends on the time of year. It was perfectly clear from October until a couple days ago. Mats started coming in. Most areas do a good job of cleaning it off the beaches. But when it’s bad it can be in the water at the shoreline for yards out.

What about all the crocodiles moving around in the morning and early evening?
@JS-jh4cy Жыл бұрын
They love the water canals and low wet spots

When I lived in the first place by the canal and lagoon, I only saw the one croc. There’s a video of it somewhere on this channel. But they’re definitely there. They don’t really bother people. My dog even jumped in a few times without permission

I didn’t want to publicly say how much, but nearly 3 times what I was paying. And a friend owns this one so it might not be fair to give out any expectations

Hey Shawn, I'm from Jersey as well. I'm assuming you been to many parts of Belize already. What areas would you recommend. And I hear Northern Caye Caulker was nice as well. It's supposed to be up and coming for growth and development.
@ltmac532 жыл бұрын
North Caye Caulker was pretty much empty when I started coming. There is development happening there now. But you’ll still have to ferry across for a lot of goods. Also been to Ambergris Caye, Corozal, Belmopan, and lots of smaller villages. I plan to visit a lot more areas starting soon

Hi Shawn, this is the first video I've seen from your channel. Thanks for the content! I'm wondering if you would recommend any particular method to search for rentals Placencia for people who will be living there for the next few years. Hopefully you have some methods that don't involve Facebook! Thanks for your channel.

Facebook is definitely a good start. Find all the local realtors and property management companies that handle rentals, then go to their specific websites
