Looks like a crib belonging to a football player or a basketball player or a rapper. Its a beautiful yet sterile looking place. I love contemporary architecture! It’s strange to see it in Michigan though its great!! Michigan has a certain “stuck in the 50’s - 70’s vibe”. This property elevates the state. It would look beautiful on one of the great lakes!

The reason why you see less of this type of Architecture in Michigan is because of the weather. Human beings have an innate understanding of design. Think of photography...a picture can be a little bit "off" and people know it. It bothers them. Crop it in just a bit and rotate it to the right half-a-hair and all of a sudden it "clicks" and it's pleasing to the eye. That's the "inner understanding" of the human species. It's kind of a stamp that God exists. Same thing with music. Why do some sounds "make sense" to the human ear? Anyway...flat roof/white box interior...the human mind "understands" that that makes the most sense in hot places. Florida. California. Arizona. Nevada. The Caribbean. It doesn't "make sense" in cold places. Other architecture does. Consider log cabins. There's really killer log cabin architecture. Millions and millions of dollar homes built with that aesthetic. But where is it found? Cold places. Alaska. Aspen Colorado. British Columbia. Michigan. It's a cold day in hell that you'll find a log cabin in Florida. The human mind "gets it" that those two things don't make sense. Nobody has to tell us that. So minimalist architecture homes like this are rarely going to be found in places with snow. There is an exception though. WATER views. These homes always match up well to water. So you'll see these homes on waterfront property or places with a waterfront view. So there's snow in NYC...but you see this type of design all the time because they raise the elevation of the places via skyscrapers and people see water. TA-DA...it makes sense all over again. So there ya go. Not gonna be many homes like this built in Michigan. It usually requires someone who is NOT from Michigan who want this kind of house regardless of the fact they moved TO Michigan in order to see one built.
