Yeah, I'm drooling. Reminds me of a guy I sold a revolver to. His collector's permit was for "military and governmental small arms of all nations and time periods, including competing models and firearms of similar type, design, or function, and including fully automatic firearms and weapons designed for explosive projectiles". It's the German Collector's Permit holy grail. And yeah, I dropped the price down a hundred for the chance to drool all over his collection for a day. *So* worth it.
@Caracho867 жыл бұрын
I have heard of people my grandfather knew (he was a hunter, just as I am) , that there were times when this was possible. I highly doubt I`ll be ever allowed to buy any of the guns besides those which are allowed on my hunting license.
@littlegrabbiZZ9PZA7 жыл бұрын
Caracho86 It's possible, but hard. Our collectors need a theme for their collection, and once that theme is pretty much filled out, they can extend that theme. The guy I sold my wheelgat to started with "WWI Italian infantry rifles" and, through seven extensions, arrived at "if it is gun, you can have it".

Allow me, as a Dutch and gunowner and -enthusiast, to clear up some misunderstandings I noticed in the comments (several of fellow Dutchmen). First off, Dutch gunownership is a long and bureaucratic process that revolves around the idea that we should keep guns away from crazies and crims. If you have patience and the mental capabilities to fill out stacks of forms and sit through several courses, you are indeed deemed fit to own guns. This has nothing to do with an opressive government and all-knowing EU legislation, but rather the idea that we, as gunowners have certain responsibilities towards society. Now, collecting guns like the ones you saw in this video is an entire different animal altogether. To be a guncollector, you need to fill in certain forms. Those forms are only available if you are a member of certain (Royally appointed) guncollecting societies. To become a member of such a society, one needs to be a prospect first. To become a prospect, you need to be introduced by another collector first. To move from prospect to member, you need to write several peer-reviewed publications on the subjects you wish to study in your collection (mind you, a gun collection is not for fun, but for scientific reasons alone). Furthermore, to become a full-fledged collector, you need to prove that you have the financial means to start and maintain such a collection. Therefore, most collectors (and there are quite a few) usually collect books, or ammunition, or antiques (which are free to own, except for the ammunition), or flare guns, or proofmark prints, or band together and open a museum (hello tax-cut).

But it's alright, as long as it's in the name of "muh responsibility to society" amirite?

@kazkikongokiller64476 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you're right - I wouldn't get a gun there. I wouldn't even come close because I don't have the ludicrous amounts of money to "maintain" a collection of overpriced antiques, nor do I know any people in high places who would "permit" me to start owning them. Garbage country, and that is why I moved to the U.S., where I don't need to prove or give any "good reason" for wanting to buy guns.

Jelly contains no gelatin it is gels through the action of the pectin. Fruits high in pectin, like apples, grapes, and blackberries make great jelly. Jams are better made with fruits that are lower in pectin. If I go to my cupboard right now I can pull out a jar of grape jelly and a jar of strawberry jam.

You would not be able to acquire the permits necessary for this without the complete trust and cooperation of the local police. They will also make unannounced house calls to verify that you are indeed following all the laws and procedures to the letter. But once you have a good working relationship with the local LE, and make sure to stay healthy and on the right side of the law, this is indeed possible (if uncommon) in the Netherlands!

FN-made commercial Mauser 98 action in .308, FN MAG-profile Barrel, MAG bipod, FAL-based external Magazine, Wooden stock risers, eccentric STANAG 2324-compatible mount. Made around the same time as the PSG1 and WA2000 with similar design intent. Know it by sight, have been modelling on for a few months. Info on these suckers is thin on the ground. As you can probably guess by this comment, I am from one of the other provinces and yes, I dislike it when people call my country "Holland". Try telling a Welshman that he's English.
