I'm positive you could get much better groupings with that PGM b using a rear rest and maybe using a more optimised ammo. Ammo was a big factor for my Savage .308 bolt action - when i found the right stuff my groups shrank down by almost a half

Personally I doubt 8.6 BLK subsonic is 1 MOA capable.

I think people spend too much time thinking about their best group, when they really should be thinking about their worst group. The worst group (assuming a good faith effort) is what someone can actually shoot "all day long". That's the group that really determines how much skill a shooter has and how much they need to improve. A shooter's best group only means that they can't count on that accuracy because all their other groups are worse. Meanwhile, a shooter's worst group establishes a baseline they can count on because every other group will be even better. And those groups absilutely should include flyers. When competing or when taking a critical shot, the flyers count. Whether they're flaws in the gun, errors by the shooter, or a combination of both, they're not suddenly going to go away just because they're aiming at a deer's vitals instead of paper. If a shooter can get those flyers when just shooting for groups on paper, why wouldn't they also happen in situations where there's only the opportunity for a single shot? That elk isn't going to think, "Well, that first shot was a flyer. I'll stay right here and let you try again." Shoot for your best groups, but count on your worst groups.

A while ago i posted in a hunting group on facebook a ten shot group that messured 1.5 moa at 100 meters with my AR15 and the only modification is a added scope. Omg the bs that was posted after that "Not even good enough for hunting", "I shoot a thumbnail sized group att 200 yards with a red dot" and so on. Yeah right, i could shoot a bunch of three shot groups and picked one with a ragged whole claiming it was a standard group for me. To many people is full of shit and throw that shit to hide their own unsecurity and failure.

This is exactly why this challenge was created! We get some many keyboard commandos in the comments claiming all sorts of things. Sadly a lot of them don't even understand what MOA means... So now if you see someone bragging with unrealistic stuff, just dare him to do this challenge 😄

Yeah, lets produce guns, for absolutely no reason, that are less precise, break more easily, are more prone to jamming, exclude a grip or other useful features, suffer material failures and could injure the shooter! Sounds like a great idea!

Fclass and PRS entered the chat. People shooting their modules at a KYL rack at 50yds might be interesting. Reality is any rifle is a consistent shooter. People introduce variable performance results.

I have one of these. I love baiting self-proclaimed firearms experts by referring to the clips for my 9mm handgun. "THEY'RE NOT CLIPS! THEY'RE CALLED MAGAZINES!" Cue frothing at the mouth. Clips for the Broomhandle Mauser work.

I'm thinking that if enough people try this challenge with several different calibers and they use 'match' ammo that we'll find out that several ammo manufacturers are full of crap, selling standard ammo in a match grade ammo labeled box.

This Lebel is right handed rifle... awkwardness of a left handed shooter is quite obvious... I believe the handling of this rifle would improve quite a bit for even for 1st timer I notice something during loading the magazine... reaching into the ammunition bag and coming out with 8 rounds... all selectively pointed in the right direction... loading this Lebel would be pretty fast... Also, there would be an advantage in counting rounds fired... in a pause of action... one easily keep the magazine full, fire two rounds load two rounds; fire 4-load 4... The only thing I didn't like about this rifle, with dirt flying everywhere in an action event, one would wonder just how easily this rifles works could be foaled from dirt & mud...

I do think if any gun doesn't need a lot of capacity it's a shotgun. Handguns lack punch and rifles while more powerful are not as powerful as shotguns

This is, at the very least, a move forward. but we really need to see Suppresors removed from the NFA (yes, I would also prefer no NFA. But reasonable expectations). Cans are really hard to justify buying when they cost $2K+. There are a few manufacturers with a corner on the market because of the NFA, and that's bullshit.

Im sorry but it may not be easy but with a good rifle, scope, mounts ammo and optics 1MOA all day is with out doubt achievable. Wind and heat haze play a big part. But its obtainable.

Nobody's claiming it's unobtainable, just that *most* people who claim that they can shoot "1 MOA all day" probably can't.

Yes Ian I weighed my.300WM and it’s 14.8 lbs dry so I used my dads .308 (epic fail) and my Ruger 556E (better but still failed as expected). I’m down to my son’s .223 and my .300WM. Stay tuned and thank you for being a good person in real life). Jerry in the Green Tacoma 🇺🇸

I have rifles that can easily shoot five shot groups under an MOA at 100 yards, off of sandbags, in a dead calm. Ten shot groups off a bipod with me behind the scope, never going to happen. Still fun to try.

Is the 185 gr 45acp +p ammo subsonic? It's my understanding that if you are not shooting subsonic ammo the sound of the action is NOT the loudest part of firing a handgun but the shot itself will be the loudest. Also is there anywhere I can buy the original phase 1 LAM?

I have shot .25 inch groups with my AR...But it has a 24 " Wilson heavy barrel, the bullet and powder load had been tuned over a long time, there was a fouling round, 5 rounds only and I waited 10 minutes between shots, on a low wind day off a bench...And I could not do it every time. I do know the gun was better than me.
@sdgardner1954
@sdgardner1954 2 сағат бұрын
Because of barrel heating this is really hard. If you had waited 15 minutes between shots I bet they would have been closer, but would that have violated the rules?

Thank you for a good gun review! How did this pistol differ from the C96 with the "9" scribbed on the pistol grip? In years gone by I have had both C96 pistols, in 7.63X25 and the C96 with "9" carved on both grips, but foolishly traded them away.

I defiantly do not have any rifle that is capable of this challenge. The only rifle that comes even close weights 12lb unloaded, and that is a semi-auto battle rifle that is defiantly NOT designed for that level of accuracy.
