The fish at 4:07 is probably Hemiodus gracilis. This fish is pretty common in the stores here in Brazil...

My favorite is the 3M. I love the use of the Tiger Lotus plants and Anubias. The layout is beautiful, as well as the fish.

Boy that place is spectacular. I also like the big cardinal tetra tank the best. I love its simplicity; it is really serene. But the tank at 7:57 has a lot of great things too. Particularly the plant growing out of the top that looks like palm trees! Love that. Thank you for taking us there, Ryo.

My guess for the rainbow is melanotaenia sp kalitawa. The only one i know with such a bright red tail.

I was able to visit the Sumida Aquarium back in July and was stunned at how amazing their freshwater displays are! I personally like the tank on the left side of the two that are similar but I agree that the sand on the right side tank looks better. Love the videos keep on posting!

Absolutely awesome. Have you consider making interviews when you visit this kinda of places? It would be great to know how they built those tanks, if they are using deep substrate or not, what the maintenance and schedule look like etc.

gorgeous tanks to be sure... I can't help myself though, as I notice details... at the 2 minute mark one can clearly see double glass panes on the tank... is this normal? why would they do that on the smaller side panels and not the big ones? does it work to make the glass stronger? I am wanting to build my own custom aquarium and so I am researching this stuff a lot..

Hey I got my firs fish today I got 4 white cloud mountain minnows and 1 borneo suckeker they are in my dad's 30gallon tank for now but I am going to transfer them in my 2 gallon tank soon

I feel like you're a little into fish more than you are into the plants or the scape itself.. As an aquascaper,it shouldnt be the focus.

I beg to disagree. To be honest they are not mutually exclusive of each other. By that I mean hypothetically a person may either enjoy: a) the animals more; or b) the plants more; or c) the process of making scapes more; or d) or a combination of two over one of them more; and that is all fine. It does not take away anything from the person simply because the individual "enjoys something more" or "less". At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. Whether a person "enjoys more" or "less" of something is just a matter of semantics. A person's passion, dedication and hard work, as seen through individual acts and deeds, carries more weight than what casual observers might otherwise think. And as long as that person does his best and causes no harm to anyone, then, more power to them. It matters not what preference they may have. We should instead temper our own expectations, opinions and judgments, knowing full well that we, as individuals, do not possess absolute claim to what we may deem as "right" or "appropriate'. Anyway as one of Ryo's moderators, I still appreciate people who take time to comment. Thank you and have a great day or night ahead.
