Clare College was founded in 1326 (a fun fact you may have seen on the tote bag I ALWAYS wear😅) by Elizabeth de Clare, making it the second-oldest surviving college of the University after Peterhouse. Clare Bridge (which connects Old Court and Memorial Court) is also the current oldest bridge on the river Cam. The college is made up of three parts: Old Court, Memorial Court, and The Colony. Clare is known as a liberal and progressive college, and In 1972 it became one of the three male Cambridge colleges that led the way in admitting female undergraduates (the other two being Churchill and King's), and is also known as a very musical college.
I have had several requests to give a tour of my college, so here you are! I thought it was best to film this while the college is still relatively empty, and in time for incoming freshers to see aswell! I hope people find this helpful 💛
