The second Bob Wells video I ever saw was his interview with Dee. She was living out of her car and had a little shady gazebo from Harbor Freight set up next to her vehicle. She told her story and so many of us fell in love with her right then. I thank God that Dee has persevered and I thank God for all the people who have helped her along her way. Bob would be too modest to ever say this, but because of that interview she got help from the nomad and non-nomad community. people want to help, and Bob makes that possible by shining a light on people.

I love watching Dee's updates, it really is so awesome and inspiring watching Dee go from her little black car to her box van. Whenever I think, it's too much I can't go nomadic I don't know anything about plumbing, electricity, solar, etc. I watch Box Van Dee and am reminded she was once in the same pickle and she figured it out, why can't I as well right?

Dee is one of my heroes. I remember the very first video of her living in her car. I broke down and cried and I wanted to go scoop her up and bring her home with me but she showed such resilience and strength. I’ve had to do something similar. I have health issues that make it too difficult to be a full time nomad. So i have an RV in a campground in Michigan and another in an RV park in Quartzsite. I have a Dodge Grand Caravan and i can occasionally go out in that for a night or two. It’s what works for me. I’m 71 and can’t manage much more than that. I pay $1800 for my space for a year in Quartzsite. And i pay $3000 for my place in Michigan and the only other expense i have in Michigan is my propane. I don’t pay water or electricity even with my central air. It’s an incredible deal.

Aside from my late mother and grandmother who had remarkable stories of courage, strength, resilience and so much more, overcoming astronomical odds stacked against them, Dee is 3rd one I add to the list. In my 56 years I've worked around just about every facet of people, Dee is outstanding in so many ways. If she wrote a book I'd buy it, and cherish it forever. I'd love to read her story, her stories of nomads she's met, the community, her travels, etc.... Thank you Bob for featuring her and others. To see the transformation of Dee from watching her first video last night to the 5th video is remarkable, she was always so beautiful inside and out, it's the transformation of her confidence, contentment, health and knowledge. My heart is filled with such joy for her. It would be an honor to just sit and talk with her, I could listen to her for hours. She's a legend in my perception.
