I was using a GoPro Hero 9 and a small handheld mount. I think the floatie mount if I remember correctly. It has great stability. Just watched your video. Good video. 👍

I'm almost 100% sure that my company just took over your old facility. Was it 273 Marquette Drive in Bolingbrook? I remember when we was moving in and we seen some GP trucks there

I didn't see any curtains in the truck. Does the GP service department install them or do their trucks not have curtains at all?

Yes, they have cab and sleeper curtains. I never used the ones in the middle for the sleeper so they were tucked on top of the cabinets. I only used the wrap around cab curtains.

Just be very clear and upfront with them that you are allergic. Clear communication is one of the best things about the company.

Do they force drivers to the east coast ? The driver recruiter said that all their routes are east of I35

Im not sure if things have changed since I was there, but when I was there, I ran west of 35 occasionally. Also, you could list a few places that you did not want to run. Example: Boston, NYC etc. Hope this helps.

They do not. Actually the truck I had did not have XM but some of them did. However if it didn’t have xm at the time, they would provide you with a standalone xm unit if you wanted.

Android auto and Apple car play....you've got to be kidding!😮😁👍 From the outside looking in, GP seems like it would be a difficult company to qualify for, and maybe super strict to where you could get the boot for anything? Beautiful truck and looks like great pay.... but I can't take the freezing cold and snow up north there.

😂 Good call on the cold and snow. They are pretty tight on the driver guidelines to get in. With that said, they are super laid back and easy to work for/with as long as you do your job and communicate. Pretty easy going and don’t micro manage you. Pretty good gig in my opinion.

They just have the main terminal in Joliet. They have a couple of drop yards also.

There are very few Volvos left in the fleet. There is a yard in Ontario, Ca. Not so much a terminal. I believe it’s more of a drop yard and place to park. I’ve never been to it though.

@@trk90941 Where did you see 65cpm? To my knowledge we are 60cpm with inward facing camera or 58cpm without it. If you are seeing 65cpm that may be including any accessorials averaged into the pay. For example I make 58cpm because I chose not to have an inward facing camera. With accessorials such as detention, extra stops and things averaged in, my average was 81cpm for that week. We run all 48 started but Im usually staying around the Midwest.

You do realize that it is not everyone’s goal to be an owner/operator right? Not everyone wants to take that chance, People have their own reasons for being a company driver, could be benefits, could be financial, could be they just do not want the risk or headaches that come with being owner op and there is nothing wrong with that. Maybe you should do you and not worry about what other people do to provide for their family. They can decide for themselves what’s best for them.
