As you can tell on my profile pic, I live as well as work on the 7 line as a train operator for the last 28 years. It never gets old doing what I do since it’s all I ever wanted to do since I was 3 years old. Thanks for acknowledging my line and continue to do what you love as well. Take care and please be safe.

I rode the 7 line since the time I was a baby into my 20's and it will always be my favorite! I think it was every city kids dream to grow up and be a subway conductor or engineer and you managed to make that happen! Live the dream and I hope things get better for NY!

The 7 line is like the Victoria line in London. Astonishing headways between trains. Beautiful looking trains etc.

Even if I don’t do any other subway lines, at least I captured what I consider the best subway line in New York City

I really enjoyed the focus on the stations. I haven't lived near NYC in decades, but love watching good subway videos. And it's hard to take bad pics of the 7 train. Nice work.

Love the International Express. Your comment towards the end sounds like the beginning of a series to me! 😁 I'd definitely watch it.

Thank you for another great video! In addition to its fine scenery, the Flushing-Corona El has an interesting history, as one of the surviving branches of the Second Avenue El, and a line jointly operated east of Queensborough Plaza by the BMT and IRT until 1949. It featured three routes: trains from the Queensborough Interborough Subway (as today); wooden Manhattan Elevated cars from the Second Avenue El, via the Queennsboro Bridge and terminating at Willet's Point Blvd; and wooden BMT elevated cars--later Q cars---shuttling between Main Street and Queensborough Plaza, where they connected with wide-bodied BMT steel cars. The Queensborough Plaza station used to be twice as wide, to accommodate all these lines; the north side of the station was used by the BMT. The changes that Long Island City has undergone are truly staggering.

What a wonderful video! Thank you! I love NYC and the subway. I took the 7 back in 2019 from Times Square to see the new Hudson Yards station (amazing). It has been difficult to cross the border from Canada recently and I miss the city but I finally made it back to Manhattan last December - Bryant Park is magical in the holiday season. My daughter lived for a few years in Washington Heights and I loved taking the A or 1. You can’t beat having a mariachi band come on board, in full costume, when you least expect it! Or be on a train with people, in full costume, going to the medieval fair at Fort Tryon Park! What amazing views at 31 minutes and 1:13. And I love the bagpiper! It brings out the Scottish in me! I saw a young guy playing bagpipes on Broadway near Lincoln Center a couple of years ago - in a tshirt, shorts and hiking boots. So NYC.

They were always talking about extending the line from Hudson Yards to Secaucus, NJ. It almost happened but got canceled at the last minute. Darn it!

Would love to tour some of those lines also. In my opinion and many others as well the number seven line is New York’s best subway line or should I say Tube line

My question, since so many instances of people getting shoved on to the tracks...could you survive if you laid low in the center between the rails? Assuming there was not time to climb out.
@3985uprr2 жыл бұрын
If you’re not too heavy and you can hold your breath you probably would survive but it would be shocking to say the least

Not sure why you didn't film the actual train ride (at least above ground) view as per usual, quite disappointing to say the least.
