I'd like to see a video of a day in the off grid tiny house in bad weather. How do you eat, keep warm, keep mud out, keep spirits high in the miserable days.

I think that when he built it was designed for the summer predominantly, If you wanted a four season tiny house you would probably want a wood stove and some insulation.

Love the chin up bar. I made one in my food forest. Anytime I'm out there I can pound out a few reps. Really fun way to get a little more physical activity. That and farmers carrying water jugs! Outside is the best side.

Sir I'm greatly inspired by you. I found one of your interview a few minutes ago and I have never been more inspired by a person more... I am an astrobiology enthusiast and I strongly believe that we as humans are here on this planet,in this universe to observe and not to compete or change or possess anything at all... Even though we may superficially feel accomplished by owning possessions ... The universe in under no circumstances need us and we are here, to OBSERVE.

Ron... Great ideas. I understand the Jewish concept on death. I understand living small. How about living during bad weather? Do you use basically medications for tour health? I really enjoy your channel. We heat a small pail of water to bathe. We eat simply in The Philippines. We have a three stone stove with just few pots. Racks made of bent rebar adjusts the tempatures of the fire. We use a composting toilet but wash our behinds instead of using paper. Life is wonderful. Be blessed...

You are a beautiful human, Rob. Your inner self radiates! 🌞 Back when you were a corporate titan and had all the stuff and things, your light must've been so tiny. Wanting to super nova but packed down with all the clutter people believe is important until some event or epiphany alters them. I don't remember what yours was, the turning point, but I cheer it. Ours would be a great loss had you not transitioned into the man you are now. I send you love and light. ❤️

Rob I think everything you're doing is amazing. I think a lot of people can get a few ideas from following you. However, in todays day and age, you still need land, someone still needs to pay taxes and although you're living sustainably and basically free how do you deal with the realization you're basically a land slave/indentured servant? Or is that what you want to be? You don't pay into the system or support war/slavery but SOMEONE has to. Such as the person's land your staying on? Would love some insight incase I'm missing something, I really enjoy your minimalist/sustainable living videos

Dear Rob! I appreciate very much all the information you offer on your videos. That said, I would like to have a tiny, off the grid home and don’t have a place where I could put it. All the videos showing these enchanting abodes are in beautiful, vast pieces of land, which most earth dwellers can’t afford anymore. The option of placing a tiny house in the city is more dire still. I don’t know of any neighborhood in the U.S. that is open to this concept and / or will be anytime, at least not in my time. Some decades ago, when my husband and I were looking for land to buy, where we could build our home, the restrictions, laws & regulations regarding what you could build and how big or small, were many and very limited. Even after so many years, I haven’t seen any changes. I hope I am not being pessimistic but, In my view of what this country stands for, even though there are some who are predicting that, due to COVID 19, at least 30% of the population of this country and, possibly even more, of the population of the rest of the world, will loose their means of livelihood, still, unless a vast mayority of the people do something to overthrow the powers that be and replace them with a way of living, that better suits the planet and all it’s inhabitants, I see these limitations and restrictive laws only getting worse. Please, if you know better and have a more bright but, also realistic overall view of the scheme of things, would you let your eager viewers know what that is? Thank you for being who you are! 🙏🙂
@Robin.Greenfield

Hello, I totally understand where you are coming from. However this statement "All the videos showing these enchanting abodes are in beautiful, vast pieces of land," is not true at all. Check out the last two tiny houses I lived in, both in small backyards in San Diego and Orlando. Many tiny houses are on wheels and people move from place to place in them. Many are set up on small properties. There are a lot of resources on the internet. I recommend doing some internet searches. This website is a great resource to start with: tinyhouseblog.com/ Health and happiness to you! Rob

Privacy wise, a small structure can be built around it. It's already very private on that little part of the property. A simple roof can be put over it too.
